Shan Mohammed is an Indian film editor who works in Hindi and Tamil-language films. [1]
A commerce graduate, Shan Mohammed, had gone to Chennai for his articleship and became acquainted with cinematographer P. C. Sreeram at a photo exhibition, who recommended that he go to Mumbai, if he wanted a pursue a career in films. Soon Shan was working with Pankaj Advani on a series of 10-minute films titled Bheja Fry for Channel V, and then in 2000, he got into Pune's Film and Television Institute of India in the editing course. [2] During his course, Shan actively sought out opportunities to become involved in Hindi cinema, and went on to edit the experimental films, The Great Indian Butterfly (2007) and Frozen (2007) during his third year. His work in both ventures were well appreciated and he subsequently moved on to bigger projects, and won further acclaim for his work in Aamir Khan's production Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008). He subsequently became acquainted with Kamal Haasan and was signed to work on the big-budget, bilingual period film, Marmayogi, before it was shelved. [2] [3] He also edited the Aamir Bashir directed award-winning Kashmiri language film Harud (Winter).
He continued to win acclaim for his work in Wake Up Sid (2009) and Lekar Hum Deewana Dil (2014), while he returned to collaborate with Kamal Haasan on Tamil and Telugu films like Manmadhan Ambu and Thoonga Vaanam. In 2014, he exited midway through the production of Revolver Rani (2014) claiming that the producers failed to pay him for his work. [4] [5] Shan has collaborated with cinematographer and director Shankar Raman on multiple films including Gurgaon. Leila and Love Hostel. He has also edited Akshat Verma's popular cult classic Kaalakandi and comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath's popular show Laakhon Mein Ek. His recent big releases include Abhinay Deo's Savi and Anand Tiwari's Dharma comedy Bad Newz.
On the personal front, Shan is married to author and former [6] journalist Janhavi Samant. [7] [8] and has two kids Saad and Saraa.

Parthasarathy Srinivasan, known professionally as Kamal Haasan, is an Indian actor, film director, film producer, screenwriter, choreographer, playback singer, lyricist, television presenter, social activist and politician who works in Tamil cinema. Besides Tamil films, he has also appeared in some Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Bengali films. Considered as one of the greatest and most respected actors in Indian cinema, Haasan is also known for introducing many new innovations to the Indian film industry. He has won numerous accolades, including four National Film Awards, nine Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, four Nandi Awards, one Rashtrapati Award, two Filmfare Awards and eighteen Filmfare Awards South. He was awarded the Kalaimamani Award in 1984, the Padma Shri in 1990, the Padma Bhushan in 2014 and the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier) in 2016.

Balanathan Benjamin Mahendran, commonly known as Balu Mahendra, cinematographer, director, screenwriter and film editor who worked in various Indian film industries, primarily in Tamil and Malayalam cinema. Born in Sri Lanka, Mahendran developed a passion for photography and literature at a young age, after witnessing the shoot of David Lean's The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) during a school trip in Sri Lanka, he was drawn towards filmmaking. After graduation he joined as an Aerial photographer in the Sri Lankan Government. In 1966, he moved to India and gained admission to the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) to pursue a course in motion picture photography. Upon completion of his diploma, he entered Malayalam cinema as a cinematographer in the early 1970s.
Indian is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language vigilante action thriller film directed by S. Shankar, who wrote the script with dialogues by Sujatha, and produced by A. M. Rathnam. The film stars Kamal Haasan in a dual role, alongside Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar, Sukanya, Manorama, Goundamani, Senthil, Nedumudi Venu, Kasthuri, Nizhalgal Ravi and Ajay Rathnam. It is the first instalment in the Indian film series. The music was composed by A. R. Rahman, while cinematography and editing were handled by Jeeva and B. Lenin-V. T. Vijayan. In the film, Senapathy, a retired freedom fighter rebels against corruption in India, which puts him in conflict with his son Chandru, who lives by corruption.

S. Ravi Varman is an Indian cinematographer, filmmaker, producer and writer. He predominantly works in Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi film industries. Varman began his career in Malayalam cinema. He directed a romantic film in Tamil titled Moscowin Kavery (2010). He is an honorary member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AM-pass). He was awarded the National Film Award for Best Cinematography for his work in Ponniyin Selvan: I (2022).
Aalavandhan is a 2001 Indian action thriller film directed by Suresh Krissna and produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The film stars Kamal Haasan in dual roles, alongside Raveena Tandon, Manisha Koirala, Sarath Babu, Gollapudi Maruti Rao, Madurai G.S. Mani and Milind Gunaji. It is an adaptation of the novel Dhayam, written by Haasan in 1984, and has elements of magic realism. The film was simultaneously shot in Hindi which was titled as Abhay (transl. Akshara Haasan is an Indian actress who has appeared in Tamil and Hindi-language films. The daughter of actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur, and the younger sister of Shruti Haasan, she made her film debut with the comedy drama Shamitabh (2015), and later appeared in Kadaram Kondan (2019).

Manush Nandan is an Indian cinematographer who works in Hindi and Tamil-language films. He studied at the Film and Television Institute of Tamil Nadu and worked under Ravi K. Chandran during his early days and for his directorial debut Yaan (2014). He worked as an assistant cinematographer for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) and My Name is Khan (2010) before being recommended to Farah Khan by an assistant director to work on Happy New Year (2014). He has since worked on several well known Hindi films such as Thugs of Hindostan (2018) and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023).
