Shanavas K Bavakutty (born 5 July 1977) is an Indian film director from Ponnani in Malappuram district. His debut film was Kismath in 2016 and his second film Thottappan released in 2019. [1]

Career

He won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Debut Director in 2016 for Kismath . The film was released on 29 July 2016 by Lal Jose through LJ Films. It was well received. [ citation needed ]

His second feature film was Thottappan , [2] based on a short story written by Francis Norohna released on 5 July 2019. [3] [4] It depicts the affection between a girl and her godparent. [5]

Oruthee is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language crime thriller film directed by V. K. Prakash. Produced by K. V. Abdul Nazar under the banner of Benzy Productions, the screenplay of the film was written by S. Suresh Babu. Marking her return to Malayalam cinema after 10 years, it stars Navya Nair, Vinayakan, and Saiju Kurup. The cinematography of the film was done by Jimshi Khalid and was edited by Lijo Paul. Gopi Sundar and the band Thakara composed the soundtrack, with lyrics written by B. K. Harinarayanan, Alankode Leelakrishnan, and Abru Manoj. K. P. Sankaran is a Malayalam–language literary critic from Kerala, India. Born on 15 May 1939 in Painkulam in Trichur district of the erstwhile Kingdom of Cochin, he was a teacher at Changanacherry S.B. College, Trichur Kerala Varma College and Mysore Regional Institute of Education from where he retired in 2001. He resides with his wife Kamala Devi in Kottapparambu near Chelavoor, Calicut since 2019. He has authored around 30 books.

Oru Sarkar Ulpannam is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language comedy drama film directed by T. V. Renjith. The film was released to positive reviews.
