Shannon Archer (born 29 July 1998 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish artistic gymnast. She was the first Scottish gymnast to win a medal in women's artistic gymnastics at the Commonwealth Games, earning a bronze on vault in 2022.
Archer was born in 1998 in Edinburgh. Her mother, Wendy Purdie, was a Scottish indoor lawn bowls player. [1] Archer earned a Bachelor of Science in Developing Athletes Through Professional Practice from Edinburgh Napier University. [2]
Archer made her international debut for Scotland at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games where she helped Scotland finish fourth as a team. [2] In 2017, Archer won her first senior national title and helped Scotland win the bronze medal at the Northern European Championships. [3] [4]
Archer competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games where she helped Scotland finish fifth as a team. [5] Individually she finished tenth in the all-around and fifth on vault.
In 2020, Archer moved started training at the South Essex Gymnastics Club. [6] She reclaimed the Scottish national title in 2021 and successfully defended it the following year. [2] [7]
Archer competed at the 2022 Commonwealth Games where she helped Scotland finish sixth as a team. During the all-around competition she finished eighth. During the vault final Archer finished third behind Georgia Godwin of Australia and Laurie Denommée of Canada, earning herself the bronze medal. In doing so Archer became the first Scottish female artistic gymnast to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games. [8] [9] [10] [11]

Giulia Steingruber is a Swiss retired artistic gymnast. She is the 2016 Olympic and 2017 World bronze medalist on vault. Additionally, she is the 2015 European all-around champion, a four-time European vault champion and the 2016 European floor exercise champion.
Alexa Citlali Moreno Medina is a Mexican artistic gymnast. She is the 2018 World bronze medalist on vault, the first Mexican female gymnast to medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She represented Mexico at the 2016 Summer Olympics where she was the second reserve for the all-around final and at the 2020 Olympics where she placed fourth in the vault final. She will represent Mexico at the 2024 Summer Olympics. She is the 2023 Pan American champion on vault. She won a silver medal on vault at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games and a bronze medal on vault at the 2010 Pacific Rim Championships. She is also a seven-time medalist on the FIG World Cup circuit. She is the 2011 Pan American Games and 2014 and 2018 Pan American Championships team bronze medalist and the 2010, 2014, and 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games team gold medalist.
Rebeca Rodrigues de Andrade is a Brazilian artistic gymnast. Having won a total of 14 Olympic and World medals, she is the most decorated Brazilian and Latin American gymnast of all time. In the all-around, she is the 2022 World champion, a two-time Olympic silver medalist, the 2023 World silver medalist, and the 2021 Pan American champion. On vault, she is the 2020 Olympic champion, the 2024 Olympic silver medalist, a two-time World Champion, and the 2023 Pan American Games champion. She led the Brazilian team to its first team medal ever at the 2023 World Championships (silver) and the 2024 Olympics (bronze), as well as the gold medal at the 2021 Pan American Championships.
Georgia-Rose Brown is an Australian artistic gymnast who now represents New Zealand in international competition. She qualified to represent New Zealand at the 2024 Summer Olympics through the 2024 FIG World Cup series.
Tisha Manouk Gijs Volleman is a Dutch artistic gymnast and a member of the national team. She won a bronze medal with the Dutch team at the 2018 European Championships. She will compete at the 2024 Summer Olympics after initially being the team's alternate.

Shallon Jade Olsen is a Canadian artistic gymnast. She is the 2018 World silver medallist and 2018 Commonwealth Games champion on vault. She is also the 2018 Commonwealth Games floor exercise bronze medallist and the 2019 Pan American Games vault bronze medallist. She was a member of the Canadian team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the silver medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. She is also the 2016 Pacific Rim vault champion, team silver medallist, and floor exercise bronze medallist. She represented Canada at the 2016 Olympics where she was the youngest member of the Canadian Olympic team and at the 2020 Olympic Games. Additionally, she currently competes for the University of Alabama gymnastics team, and she helped the Crimson Tide win the 2021 SEC Championships.
Georgia-Mae Fenton is an English artistic gymnast and a member of both the British national gymnastics team and the England Commonwealth Games gymnastics squad. She is the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth champion on uneven bars, and a member of the gold medal-winning England team in 2022. With Great Britain, she was part of the team that won silver at both the 2022 European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships and 2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, before winning the gold medal, the first for a British women's team, at the 2023 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
Emma Kathryn Mary Spence is a Canadian artistic gymnast. She represented Canada at the 2022 World Championships and won a bronze in the team event, their first team medal. She won bronze with the team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Individually she is the 2018 Youth Olympic bronze medallist on vault as well as the 2022 Commonwealth Games all-around and balance beam bronze medalist.
Csenge Mária Bácskay is a Hungarian artistic gymnast and the 2018 Youth Olympic silver medalist on vault. Additionally, she was a member of the team that won bronze at the 2020 European Championships. She will represent Hungary at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Yeo Seo-jeong is a South Korean artistic gymnast. She is the 2020 Olympic bronze medalist, the 2023 World bronze medalist, the 2018 Asian Games champion, and the 2022 Asian champion on vault. She is the first South Korean female gymnast to win an Olympic medal and also the first to win a World Championships medal.
Emily Whitehead is an Australian artistic gymnast. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, she won a bronze medal in the team event and on the vault. She represented Australia at the 2020 Summer Olympics and is a two-time Oceanic all-around champion (2021-22). She is the 2015 Australian junior national all-around champion and a three-time national all-around medalist at the senior level. She won a silver medal on the vault at the 2018 Melbourne World Cup.
Lihie Raz is an Olympic artistic gymnast. Born in the United States, she represents Israel internationally. She won the bronze medal on the floor exercise at the 2020 European Championships, which was Israel's first medal at the European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She is also the 2019 and 2021 Israeli all-around champion. She represented Israel at the 2020 Summer Olympics and finished 59th in the all-around during qualifications, but did not advance to any finals. Raz is representing Israel at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris and was the first reserve for the individual all-around final.
Pranati Nayak is an Indian artistic gymnast. She is the 2019 Asian Championships vault bronze medalist. She is the third Indian gymnast to win an international medal on the vault, after Dipa Karmakar and Aruna Reddy. She represented India at the 2020 Summer Olympics and is only the second Indian female gymnast to qualify for the Olympic Games. She is also the 2019 Indian all-around champion. She represented India at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and at the 2014 and 2018 Asian Games. She also competed at the 2014, 2017, and 2019 World Championships.
Naveen Natascha Daries is a South African artistic gymnast who represented her country at the 2017, 2018 and 2019 World Championships, as well as the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She took the bronze medal in the all-around at the 2021 African Championships, earning a continental berth to the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Natalia Isabel Escalera Cárdenas is a Mexican artistic gymnast. She is the 2021 Pan American champion and the 2023 Pan American Games bronze medalist on the vault. She represented Mexico at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Angela Andreoli is an Italian artistic gymnast. She was a member of the historic team that won silver at the 2024 Olympic Games. Additionally she was a member of the gold medal-winning teams at the 2022 Mediterranean Games, the 2022 European Championships, and the 2024 European Championships. Individually she is the 2022 Mediterranean Games bronze medalist on vault as well as the 2022 and 2024 European bronze medalist on floor exercise.
Poppy-Grace Stickler is a Welsh artistic gymnast. She is the 2019 Northern European all-around silver medalist. She represented Wales at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Ahtziri Viridiana Sandoval Pérez is a Mexican artistic gymnast. She is the 2017 Pan American vault champion and uneven bars silver medalist. She is the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games uneven bars champion and team and vault bronze medalist. She represented Mexico at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
