Shannon McIntosh (born July 24, 1989) is an American auto racing driver who competes in the ARCA Racing Series, recently competing for Cunningham Motorsports. [1] She previously raced in the U.S. F2000 National Championship for Pabst Racing Services and with Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing in 2011. [2] She also drove for car builder and owner Bob East in 2010 in the USAC Midgets. [3]
Born and raised in Miamisburg, Ohio, McIntosh began her racing career at age 5 and has amassed over 100 combined victories through Quarter Midgets and USAC Midgets. In 2012, McIntosh was the only female competitor in the US F2000 National Championship and the only American female in The Road to Indy. [4] McIntosh has been sponsored by companies like TrueCar and TAG Heuer while adorning a racing suit by AlpineStars and uses Arai Helmet.
Recently[ when? ], McIntosh partnered with Dallas Mavericks owner and American businessman Mark Cuban with the social media app called Cyber Dust. [5]
McIntosh competed for the October 2011 cover of Seventeen as one of five finalists chosen from 35,000 applicants which also included a docu-reality special on MTV. [6]
She finished eighth in the 2011 U.S. F2000 National Championship [7] Her best race finish was eighth (twice) and 18th in the 2012 U.S. F2000 National Championship, [8] scoring a best finish of eleventh.
After working diligently for a drive during the 2013 season, McIntosh earned an opportunity to race part-time in the ARCA Racing Series for Cunningham Motorsports. [9] Competing in the Scott Get Geared Up 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis, McIntosh drove from 29th to score a respectable 15th-place finish in the race. [10]

Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park is an auto racing facility in Brownsburg, Indiana, about 10 miles (16 km) northwest of downtown Indianapolis. It includes a 0.686 mi (1.104 km) oval track, a 2.500 mi (4.023 km) road course, and a 4,400-foot (1,300 m) drag strip which is among the premier drag racing venues in the world. Mel Kenyon is a former midget car driver. He is known as the "King of the Midgets", "Miraculous Mel" and "Champion of Midget Auto Racing." The Motorsports Hall of Fame of America says "Many consider him to be midget car racing's greatest driver ever."
Blake Feese is a second-generation American auto racing driver. He competed in USAC before joining Hendrick Motorsports in 2004 and 2005 as a development driver, racing in ARCA and the NASCAR Busch Series for the team. After being released from that deal, he drove in those two series as well as the NASCAR Truck Series part-time with a number of other teams through 2011.
A. J. Fike is an American professional racing driver. He is the older brother of NASCAR driver Aaron Fike. Fike won the 1999 United States Auto Club (USAC) Midget Car rookie of the year title and his younger brother Aaron Fike won the award the following season making them the first brothers to win the award in back to back seasons. He later drove in several NASCAR races.
David MacFarland Steele was an American professional racing driver who won numerous sprint car racing championships and also competed in IndyCar and NASCAR races. Steele last drove a winged sprint car in the Southern Sprintcar Shootout Series, where he won the first 5 races in series history. Steele was killed in a crash at Desoto Speedway on March 25, 2017.
Bryan Timothy Clauson was an American professional auto racing driver, best known for his achievements in dirt track open-wheel racing, such as USAC Silver Crown, Midget and Sprint cars. Clauson was increasingly seen competing with the World of Outlaws (WoO) sprint cars in his last couple of years. The 2012 U.S. F2000 National Championship is a season of the U.S. F2000 National Championship, an open wheel auto racing series that is the first step in IndyCar's Road to Indy ladder. It is the third full season of the series since its revival in 2010. Rookie Australian/American driver Matthew Brabham, son of Geoff Brabham, captured the title over is Cape Motosports teammate, second-year American Spencer Pigot by seven points in the final pair of races at Virginia International Raceway. Even though Pigot won the final two races of the season, Brabham's lead was large enough and his finishes in the final two races were high enough to capture the championship. Brabham only won four races compared to Pigot's eight wins. However, Brabham only failed to finish in the top-10 once with a single DNF while Pigot finished outside the top-10 three times in what would ultimately decide the championship. The only other driver to capture a race win during the season was Belardi Auto Racing's Scott Anderson.
