Patrick Joseph Lucey was an American politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as the 38th Governor of Wisconsin from 1971 to 1977. He was also independent presidential candidate John B. Anderson's running mate in the 1980 presidential election.

He was elected as Attorney General and Governor running on the Wisconsin Progressive Party ticket, but had previously served in the State Senate and Assembly as a Republican.
The Progressive Party was a political party created as a vehicle for Robert M. La Follette, Sr. to run for president in the 1924 election. It did not run candidates for other offices, and it disappeared after the election. The party advocated progressive positions such as government ownership of railroads and electric utilities, cheap credit for farmers, the outlawing of child labor, stronger laws to help labor unions, more protection of civil liberties, an end to American imperialism in Latin America, and a referendum before any president could lead the nation into war.
The Republican Party of Wisconsin is a conservative political party in Wisconsin and is the Wisconsin affiliate of the United States Republican Party (GOP). The state party chair is Brian Schimming. The state party is divided into 72 county parties for each of the state's counties, as well as organizations for the state's eight congressional districts. It currently controls the majority of Wisconsin's U.S. House seats, one of its U.S. Senate seats, and has supermajorites in both houses of the state legislature.
The lieutenant governor of Alabama is the president of the Alabama Senate, elected to serve a four-year term. The office was created in 1868, abolished in 1875, and recreated in 1901. According to the current constitution, should the governor be out of the state for more than 20 days, the lieutenant governor becomes acting governor, and if the governor dies, resigns or is removed from office, the lieutenant governor ascends to the governorship. Earlier constitutions said the powers of the governor devolved upon the successor, rather than them necessarily becoming governor, but the official listing includes these as full governors. The governor and lieutenant governor are not elected on the same ticket.
George Washington Blanchard Sr. was an American lawyer and Republican politician from Edgerton, Wisconsin. He served one term in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Wisconsin's 1st congressional district during the 73rd Congress (1933–1935). Prior to his election to Congress, he represented Rock County for six years in the Wisconsin Senate (1927–1933) and one term in the State Assembly (1925). Initially a member of the progressive faction of Republicans, he fell out with progressive leadership and joined the stalwart faction in 1925. Earlier in his career, he served as executive clerk to Wisconsin governor Emanuel L. Philipp.
Sharon Yvonne Runner was an American politician. She was a Republican California State Senator, who represented the 21st Senate District at the time of her death, and previously represented the 17th Senate District from 2011 to 2012. She was also a member of the California State Assembly from 2002 to 2008, representing the 36th district. She was the wife of California State Board of Equalization Member George Runner. From 2004 to 2008, then-Senator George Runner and then-Assemblywoman Sharon Runner were the first husband and wife in California history to serve concurrently in the California State Legislature.

She was an unsuccessful candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012, and for governor of Wisconsin in 2018.

Melissa Kristen Agard is an American small business owner and Democratic politician from Madison, Wisconsin. She is the county executive of Dane County, Wisconsin, since November 2024. She is also a member of the Wisconsin Senate, representing Wisconsin's 16th Senate district from 2021 until her term expires at the end of 2024. While in the Senate, she served as minority leader in 2023. She previously served four terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly, when she was primarily known by her married name Melissa Sargent.
Yesenia Edelmira "Jessie" Rodriguez is a Salvadoran American immigrant and Republican politician from Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. She is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Wisconsin's 21st Assembly district since December 2013. She is the first Hispanic immigrant elected to the Wisconsin Legislature.
The 1986 Wisconsin gubernatorial election was held on November 4, 1986. Republican Tommy G. Thompson won the election with 53% of the vote, winning his first term as Governor of Wisconsin and defeating incumbent Governor Anthony S. Earl. This was the first time since 1962 that the winner of a Wisconsin gubernatorial election was of the same party as the incumbent president. Jonathan B. Barry unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination.

She is the 46th and incumbent lieutenant governor of Wisconsin, having been elected on a ticket with Governor Tony Evers in the 2022 election. She previously served in the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 13th Assembly district during the 2021 session.
Alex A. Dallman is an American Republican politician. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 41st Assembly district since 2021. His district comprises most of Green Lake and Marquette counties, as well as the southern half of Adams County. The district also includes the city of Ripon, in western Fond du Lac County, claimed as the birthplace of the Republican Party.
Donna Mummau Rozar is an American politician, businesswoman, and nurse. A Republican, she represents the 69th district of the Wisconsin State Assembly. The 69th assembly district comprises most of the city of Marshfield, along with rural eastern Clark County, northwest Wood County, and southwest Marathon County. She was elected in the 2020 general election. Rozar is also a member of the Wood County Board of Supervisors, serving since 2000.
The 1934 Wisconsin gubernatorial election was held on November 6, 1934. Primary elections were held on September 18, 1934. Incumbent Democratic Governor Albert G. Schmedeman was defeated by Progressive nominee Philip La Follette.
