Shaune David Fraser (born March 29, 1988) is an Attorney at Law and the Founder of Fraser Immigration Law, PLLC. He was also a former competitive swimmer and Pan American Games silver medalist from the Cayman Islands. Fraser represented the Cayman Islands at the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Summer Olympics where he qualified for the Semi-Finals.[1]

Fraser graduated from the Bolles School, a private high school located in Jacksonville, Florida, known for its excellent prep swim teams. [2] He received an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he was a finance major and swam for coach Gregg Troy's Florida Gators swimming and diving team in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) competition from 2006 to 2010. [3] At the 2009 Men's NCAA Division I Championships, he set a school record in winning the 200-yard freestyle (1:31.70) [4] and an NCAA record in winning the 200-yard butterfly (1:40.75). [5] Fraser earned twenty-seven All-American accolades in his four years as a Gator swimmer, one fewer than the maximum number possible, and the most of any male swimmer in Gators history.

Fraser's younger brother, Brett Fraser, swam for the Cayman Islands at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and also swam for the University of Florida, where he graduated a year behind his brother. [6]

At the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games in Cartagena, Colombia, he set the Games record in the 200-meter freestyle (1:49.84), bettering the 24-year-old mark of 1:51.71 set by Venezuela's Alberto Mestre at the 1982 Games. At the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Fraser garnered a silver medal in the 200-meter freestyle. Four years later at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, Fraser again won the silver medal in the men's 200-meter freestyle, finishing second behind his brother Brett.

Cayman Islands at the 2008 Summer Olympics Sporting event delegation

The Cayman Islands sent a delegation to compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The delegation included fifteen people; of the delegation, four athletes participated under the Caymanian flag. In the track and field events was Ronald Forbes, who also served as the Cayman Islands' flag-bearer during the Opening Ceremony and reached quarterfinals in the 110m hurdles, and Cydonie Mothersille, who reached finals and ranked eighth in the 200m dash. Brothers Shaune and Brett Fraser, both swimmers, participated in the 100 and 200m freestyle and in the 200m backstroke, respectively. The Cayman Islands' appearance at the Beijing Olympics marked its ninth appearance since its debut at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. The Cayman Islands, up to and including Beijing, have yet to medal.

Omar Pinzón Colombian swimmer

Omar Andrés Pinzón García is a competitive swimmer who represented Colombia at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece and 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China. Pinzón attended college in the United States, where he swam for the University of Florida.

Caroline Stilwell Axel Burckle is an American former competition swimmer and Olympic bronze medalist.

Bradley Kevin Ally is a three-time Olympic swimmer from Barbados. He represented Barbados at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. He was the bronze medalist in the 200-meter individual medley at the Pan-American Games in Brazil 2007. He holds the Barbadian Record in the butterfly and individual medley events, as well as the 200-meter freestyle.

Brett Michael Fraser is a competition swimmer and Pan American Games gold medalist from the Cayman Islands. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, Fraser and his older brother, Shaune Fraser, were two of the three flag-bearers for the Cayman Islands. He competed in the 200 m backstroke.

Conor James Dwyer is a former American competition swimmer and Olympic gold medalist. He competed in freestyle and medley events, and won a gold medal as a member of the winning U.S. 4×200-meter freestyle relay team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. In total, he has won seventeen medals in major international competitions: nine gold, six silver, and two bronze spanning the Summer Olympics, the FINA World Championships, the Pan Pacific Championships, and the Pan American Games. Dwyer placed second at the 2016 US Olympic Swimming Trials in the 400m freestyle.

Tami Lee Bruce is an American former competition swimmer who represented the United States in two freestyle events at the 1988 Summer Olympics.

Kieran Smith is an American swimmer specializing in freestyle and individual medley events. He is the American record and US Open record holder in the 500 yard freestyle. He won a gold medal in the 4×200 meter freestyle relay at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships. At the 2021 World Short Course Championships, Smith won a gold medal and set an American record as part of the 4×200 metre freestyle relay. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, winning the bronze Olympic medal in the 400 meter freestyle, placing sixth in the 200 meter freestyle and fourth in the 4×200 meter freestyle relay. At the 2017 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, he won the silver medal in the 200 meter individual medley. He competes collegiately for the Florida Gators.
