Shine is the debut Korean extended play by the South Korean singer-songwriter J-Min with the title track of the same name. It was released digitally on July 18, 2014 and physically on July 21, 2014 by S.M. Entertainment.
It was the debut Korean release after J-Min debuted and became active in the Japanese entertainment industry in 2007. [1]
The mini-album was released digitally at major South Korean music sites such as MelOn, Genie, and Naver Music at noon on July 18, 2014. [2] It was a preview and the entire album was then released 3 days later on July 21, 2014 physically. [3]
The accompanying music video for Shine was then released on J-Min's official website (j-min.smtown.com) and the official YouTube channel of SMTOWN, the nickname for S.M. Entertainment's artists concurrently on July 15, 2014. [4]
Promotions began for Hoo when J-Min started performing it at June 19's broadcast of Mnet's M! Countdown, June 20's broadcast of KBS's Music Bank, June 21's broadcast of MBC's Music Core and June 22's broadcast of SBS's Inkigayo. [5]
Promotions began for Shine when J-Min started performing it at July 16's broadcast of MBC's Show Champion, July 17's broadcast of Mnet's M! Countdown and July 18's broadcast of KBS's Music Bank. [4] J-Min also performed it at the SM Town Live World Tour IV in Seoul, South Korea and the Japanese version of the song in Tokyo, Japan. [6]
J-Min participated in the songwriting of tracks 3: If you want, 5: Finally and 6: Secret Letter respectively. [7] [8] [9]
The music video takes inspiration from the hit film Gravity. [10]
Shine is a modern rock song with an upbeat rhythm and showcases J-Min's solid vocals. [10] It is also a refreshing hot summer song, perfect for the season. [7]
Meanwhile, Hoo is an acoustic ballad, being re-arranged after the release of Hero, a soundtrack for the drama Miss Korea. [11]

2011 SM Town Winter – The Warmest Gift is the eighth winter album by SMTown, released on December 13, 2011 by SM Entertainment and distributed by KMP Holdings in South Korea. Melody Day (Korean: 멜로디데이) was a South Korean girl group formed in 2012. The group officially debuted with their single album Another Parting in February 2014 and with three members: Yeoeun, Chahee, and Yein. The fourth member, Yoomin was added to the group in October 2014. The EP features six tracks including the lead single, "Let's Love".
Chocolate is the debut extended play (EP) by South Korean singer Max Changmin. The album was released on April 6, 2020 by SM Entertainment and is distributed by Dreamus. It features six tracks including the title track, "Chocolate" and also includes a collaboration with Korean singer Chungha. The album was produced by Thomas Troelsen, Yoo Young-jin, German-based international production team Hitimpulse, Bottle God (X&), Bram Inscore, Jake Torrey and Omega. Musically, the album incorporates various genres including pop, dance-pop, R&B and folk-rock. What Do I Call You is the fourth Korean-language extended play and the seventh overall by South Korean singer Taeyeon. The EP was released on December 15, 2020, by SM Entertainment and consists of six tracks, including the title track of the same name and her previous digital single "Happy".
"Hello" is a remake song recorded by South Korean singer and Red Velvet member Joy. Originally recorded and released by singer Park Hye-kyung in 2003, the song was re-recorded and was released on May 31, 2021, by SM Entertainment as a title track from her special remake album of the same name. Composed by Kang Hyun-min and also written by him along with Park Hye-kyung and Park Ji-won, the track was described as a modern rock genre song. It is about forgetting the hard days and celebrating a new day. The song peaked at position 10 on the Gaon Digital Chart and Billboard K-Pop Hot 100.
