The Shon-Sharaf Order (Uzbek : Shon-sharaf ordeni) or the Order of Glory of Service is a state award of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was introduced in August 1995. [1] [2] It comes in two classes. [3] The ribbon comes in blue, red, white and green. [3]

The Order of Glory is awarded to citizens for their devotion and courage in defending the country and strengthening the defense and national security of Uzbekistan.

Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan

The Legislative Chamber is the lower chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It has 150 members, 135 elected for a five-year term in single-seat constituencies using the two-round system and previously until the new president came to power, 15 seats were taken by the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan. Today, the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan is a full participant, and participates in parliamentary elections as an "Ecological party of Uzbekistan". Elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber are universal. Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan who have reached the age of eighteen by the election day have the right to vote. The citizens who have reached the age of twenty-five by the date of election and have been residing in the Republic of Uzbekistan for at least five years have the right to be elected to the Legislative Chamber. Citizens who are recognized to be incapacitated by the court, as well as persons held in places of detention by a court sentence, cannot be elected and participate in elections.

Visitors to Uzbekistan must obtain a visa from one of the Uzbekistan diplomatic missions or online unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries.

Uzbek Ground Forces

The Uzbek Ground Forces are the land component of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Operating since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the army is made up of former Soviet Army units that were in the territory of Uzbekistan. As of 2006, it had around 40,000 active personnel. Much of the equipment it uses is also old Soviet material, and the government of Uzbekistan has not given much effort to replace it with modern equipment.

Kadyr Gulyamov

Kadyr Gafurovich Gulamov is an Uzbek politician who has served as Minister of Defence of Uzbekistan. To date, he was the first and only civilian leader of an Uzbek military department.

Uzbek River Force

The Uzbek Navy, known officially as the River Force of Uzbek Frontier Committee are the naval arm of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, serving under the Border Troops of the State Security Service.

Kuksaroy Presidential Palace Presidential residence in Uzbekistan

Kuksaroy Presidential Palace, meaning the Blue Palace in English, is currently the official workplace of the President of Uzbekistan, located next to Oqsaroy in the capital city of Tashkent. It is located in the Mirzo Ulugbek District of Tashkent.

Academy of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan

The Academy of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan is a body for the training of highly qualified military personnel for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was originally established as an inter-service educational institution that serves the purpose of training officers for higher level leadership positions. Cadets who study at the academy are enrolled for at least 2 years. It was the first institution of its kind to be established on the militaries of Central Asia. The school requires all cadets to be fluent in the Uzbek language as well as have a basic knowledge of Russian.

Victory Park, Tashkent

Victory Park, also known as the Victory Park Memorial Complex is a park located in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. It was planned in honor of the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

The National Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan is the central advisory body of the Uzbek government which aides and assists the President in implementation of military policy.

The Order of Outstanding Merit is an order that is currently awarded by the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Pavel Ergashev Uzbek general

Major General Pavel Ismailovich Ergashev is an Uzbek military leader who is a Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan. He was appointed to this position on 11 January 2018 and was dismissed in March 2021. He is the son of former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Ismail Ergashev. He was among 12 high-ranking officials were banned from entering the European Union for a year in November 2005 for their role in putting down the 2005 Andijan unrest. At the time, he was a Colonel who commanded of a detachment of from the Ministry of Defense. On 4 September 2017, he was appointed by Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the post of Acting Deputy Minister of Defense and commander of the troops of the Southwestern Special Military District.

Agrippina Vasilyevna Shin is an Uzbek politician who has been Uzbekistan's Minister of Preschool Education since 2017.

The Military Medical Academy of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan is a specialized educational institution in the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, under the Education System of the Ministry of Defense in Tashkent. It trains officers of medical services and medical officers of the reserve. The cadets who graduated from the bachelor's degree at the Academy are initially awarded the military rank of "lieutenant of medical service" and are issued a diploma in the specialty "military doctor".

Tulkun Kasimov Uzbek general

Tulkun Kasimov was an Soviet-Uzbek military officer who has served as first person to hold the post of Chief of the Joint Headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan from 2000 to 2003. After retirement, he served in the reserve of the Armed Forces.

Awards and decorations of Uzbekistan are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan on State Awards. The highest award is the title of the Hero of Uzbekistan. There are also orders, medals and honorary titles of Uzbekistan.

Ismail Ergashev Uzbek general

Ismail Ergashevitch Ergashev was an Uzbek general who has served as second person to hold the post of Chief of the Joint Headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan from 2004 to 2005. He was one of the first military leaders of Uzbekistan.

Nasiba Abdullaeva is Soviet and Uzbek pop singer, People's Artist of Uzbekistan (1993). Performs songs in Uzbek, Farsi, Azerbaijani, Arabic, Tajik, Russian and other languages.

Zikir Muhammadjonov was a Soviet and Uzbek theater and film actor. People's Artist of the USSR (1977). Laureate of the USSR State Prize (1977).
