The Showdown at Somerby was a regular golf tournament on the Nationwide Tour. It was played at Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wisconsin in 2004 and 2005 and moved to the Somerby Golf Club in Byron, Minnesota for 2006 and 2007. It was cancelled [1] after four years because of a lack of corporate sponsorship. [2]

Contents

The title sponsor from 2004 to 2006 was Scholarship America, which is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charity that is the largest provider of scholarships for postsecondary education in the country. The presenting sponsor for the 2007 tournament was Think Mutual Bank.

The 2007 purse was $500,000, with $90,000 going to the winner.

Somerby Golf Club is a private golf club and community on the north side of Byron, Minnesota, United States. The course was designed by architect and golf pro John Fought, and by golf pro Tom Lehman.

The National, originally titled for sponsorship reasons as the AT&T National and later as the Quicken Loans National, was a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour from 2007 to 2018. It was hosted by Tiger Woods and benefited the Tiger Woods Foundation. It was usually held either in late June or during the Fourth of July weekend in the Washington, D.C. area, except for 2010 and 2011 when it was held near Philadelphia.
