The Korn Ferry Challenge at TPC Sawgrass was a golf tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour. The tournament was one of several added to the Korn Ferry Tour schedule as part of adjustments due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was the first event played after the tour took a three-month hiatus due to the pandemic. [1] It was played in June 2020 on the Dye's Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; the course had previously hosted the Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open from 2010 to 2012 and the Web.com Tour Championship from 2013 to 2015. [2] Luke List won the tournament by one stroke over Joseph Bramlett and Shad Tuten.

The Tournament Players Club Sawgrass is a golf course in the southeastern United States, located in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, southeast of Jacksonville. Opened 44 years ago in the autumn of 1980, it was the first of several Tournament Players Clubs to be built. It is home to the PGA Tour headquarters and hosts The Players Championship, one of the PGA Tour's signature events, now held in March. Paul and Jerome Fletcher negotiated a deal with the PGA Tour, which included the donation of 415 acres (1.68 km2) for one dollar.

The Korn Ferry Tour Finals is a series of four golf tournaments that conclude the season on the Korn Ferry Tour. The finals are contested in a playoff format, similar to the FedEx Cup playoffs on the PGA Tour, with players eliminated after each of the first three tournaments. At the end of the Finals, the top 30 players on the season-long points list earn PGA Tour membership for the following season.

The 2022 Players Championship was the 49th Players Championship, held March 10–14 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It was the 41st edition at the Stadium Course and concluded on Monday due to weather delays. The purse was increased by a third this year to twenty million dollars.
