Those who are on the top 25 of the money list at year's end are given PGA Tour memberships for the next season. Since the 2013 season, the Korn Ferry Tour has been the primary pathway for those seeking to earn their PGA Tour card. Q-School, which had previously been the primary route for qualification to the PGA Tour, has been converted as an entryway to the Korn Ferry Tour.

The PGA Tour is the organizer of professional golf tours in the United States and North America. It organizes most of the events on the flagship annual series of tournaments also known as the PGA Tour, as well as PGA Tour Champions and the Korn Ferry Tour, as well as PGA Tour Canada, PGA Tour Latinoamérica, and PGA Tour China. The PGA Tour is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, a suburb southeast of Jacksonville. The Korn Ferry Tour Finals is a series of three golf tournaments that serve as a means of earning PGA Tour membership for the following season. The series, which until 2019 consisted of four tournaments, replaced the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament in 2013.
The WinCo Foods Portland Open was a golf tournament in Oregon on the Korn Ferry Tour. It debuted in August 2014 at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, a suburb northwest of Portland. Northwest-based supermarket chain WinCo Foods was named as the title sponsor in June 2013. After a seven-year run, the tournament was removed from the Korn Ferry Tour schedule in 2021 due to WinCo Foods ending its title sponsorship.
The 2019 Korn Ferry Tour was the 30th season of the top developmental tour for the PGA Tour in men's golf. The season began under the Web.com Tour name but changed in June to the Korn Ferry Tour. The season ran from January 13 to September 2 and consists of 27 official money tournaments, four of them played outside of the United States.
The NV5 Invitational is a golf tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour. It was first played as the Evans Scholars Invitational in May 2019 at The Glen Club in Glenview, Illinois. As part of COVID-19-related schedule changes to the Korn Ferry Tour season, the tournament was postponed to September 2020, and the location was changed to Chicago Highlands Club. In 2021 the tournament returned to May and to The Glen Club.
The 2020–21 Korn Ferry Tour was the 31st season of the top developmental tour for the PGA Tour in men's golf, and the second under the current sponsored name of Korn Ferry Tour. Originally scheduled to run from January 12 to August 30, it was announced in early May 2020 that due to disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic that the in-progress and on-hold 2020 season would be merged with the planned 2021 season.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no graduating class in 2020, and the 2020 Korn Ferry Tour season extended into 2021. The top 25 players on the 2020–21 Korn Ferry Tour regular-season points list earned PGA Tour cards for 2021–22. The Finals determined the other 25 players to earn PGA Tour cards and the initial priority order of all 50.
The Orange County National Championship was a golf tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour. The tournament was one of several added to the Korn Ferry Tour schedule in 2020 as part of adjustments due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was played in October 2020 on the Panther Lake Course at Orange County National Golf Center near Winter Garden, Florida. Trey Mullinax won the tournament by one stroke over Stephan Jäger and Brandon Wu.
The TPC San Antonio Challenge at the Canyons was a golf tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour. The tournament was one of several added to the Korn Ferry Tour schedule in 2020 as part of adjustments due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was played in July 2020 on the Canyons Course at TPC San Antonio near San Antonio, Texas. David Lipsky won the tournament by four strokes over Taylor Pendrith; both would finish the 2020–21 Korn Ferry Tour season inside the top 25 in points, thereby earning promotion to the PGA Tour.
The Emerald Coast Classic at Sandestin is a golf tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour. It was first played in April 2021 at Raven Golf Club at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort near Miramar Beach, Florida.
The Veritex Bank Championship is a golf tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour. It was first played in April 2021 at Texas Rangers Golf Club in Arlington, Texas; it had been scheduled to be played in 2020, but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
