The WNB Golf Classic was a professional golf tournament in the United States on the Web.com Tour. It was played annually at the Midland Country Club in Midland, Texas, and the title sponsor was Western National Bank.

Contents

It debuted in 1992 as the Ben Hogan Permian Basin Open at the Club at Mission Dorado in Odessa. The purse was $150,000 and the winner's share of $30,000 went to Taylor Smith on August 30. [2] [3] The course is now part of the Odessa Country Club.

For its 23rd and final edition in 2014, the purse had quadrupled to $600,000 and Andrew Putnam took the winner's share of $108,000.

The GTE Northwest Classic was a professional golf tournament in the Seattle area on the Senior PGA Tour. KMCM, branded as "KMCM 97 Gold", is a radio station that serves the Midland–Odessa metropolitan area with classic hits by broadcasting the Classic Hits satellite feed from Westwood One. Its studios are located at the West Texas Radio Group Building on Midkiff Road in Midland, south of Midland Park Mall, and its transmitter is located in Gardendale, Texas. Previously they provided the most live sports in West Texas with high school football for Odessa High School and Permian High School, rotating them each week with sister station KHKX, Central Hockey League games of the Odessa Jackalopes, the Indoor Football League Odessa Roughnecks, and NCAA Texas Tech Red Raiders football and basketball games, which they got from KCRS (AM), and Houston Texans football. During the 2007 season they let go of the Texans rights, in 2009 KFZX acquired the Odessa Jackalopes contract from them also transferring the Monday talk show Hockey Talk, and in 2010 the Roughnecks games were transferred fully to sister station KQRX, leaving only High School Football and Texas Tech sports on KMCM.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational</span> Womens golf tournament

The Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour that is played in Michigan. A new event in 2019, it is held at Midland Country Club in Midland, Michigan. It is a team event, similar to the Zurich Classic of New Orleans on the PGA Tour, with alternate shot (foursome) in the first and third rounds and better ball (fourball) for the second and fourth rounds. Dow Chemical Company is the title sponsor.

The 2022 LPGA Tour was the 73rd edition of the LPGA Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world. The season began at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on January 20, and ended on November 20, at the Tiburón Golf Club in the CME Group Tour Championship at Naples, Florida. The tournaments were sanctioned by the United States-based Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).
