Showta Best (stylized as SHOWTA. BEST) is a compilation album by Showta (currently known as Shouta Aoi). [lower-alpha 1] The album was released on July 6, 2016.
A compilation album comprises tracks, which may be previously released or unreleased, usually from several separate recordings by either one or several performers. If by one artist, then generally the tracks were not originally intended for release together as a single work, but may be collected together as a greatest hits album or box set. If from several performers, there may be a theme, topic, time period, or genre which links the tracks, or they may have been intended for release as a single work—such as a tribute album. When the tracks are by the same recording artist, the album may be referred to as a retrospective album or an anthology.
Shouta Aoi, is a Japanese singer, songwriter, actor, and voice actor. Under the stage name Showta, he debuted as a singer with the song "Negaiboshi" in 2006 and released his first studio album, Eve, in 2008. In 2009, he left his agency and began releasing music independently under the pseudonym Noboru Ryugaki.
Before entering voice acting under the stage name Shouta Aoi, Aoi had previously released music with King Records under the stage name Showta from 2006 to 2009. [2] After Aoi left B-green and returned to King Records in 2016, [3] King Records re-released his previous songs as a compilation album.
King Records Co., Ltd. is a Japanese record company founded in January 1931 as a division of the Japanese publisher Kodansha. It initially began operating as an independent entity in the 1950s. It later became part of the Otowa Group. Today, King Records is one of Japan's largest record companies which is owned by a multinational entity. The headquarters for this record label are in Tokyo.

Showta Best was released on July 6, 2016. The limited version of the album included an alternate cover and a DVD containing all five music videos Aoi had released during the time he performed as Showta. [2]
Showta Best compiles songs from Showta's six singles released from 2006 to 2008 and his debut album Eve . The album also included "Ekubo", a song performed for the soundtrack for Kanna-san Daiseikō Desu! the Movie, which was released as a promotional digital single. [4]
Eve is the debut studio album of Showta. The album was released on March 5, 2008.
The album debuted at #19 in the Oricon Weekly Albums Chart, charting for 5 weeks. [1] The album peaked at #21 on the Billboard Japan Top Album Sales, selling 4,799 copies. [5]

"Paparazzi" is a song recorded in the Japanese language by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation for their second Japanese-language studio album, Girls & Peace (2012). It was released as the album's lead single on June 27, 2012. Written by Fredrik Thomander, Johan Becker, and Junji Ishiwatari, and produced by Miles Walker, the track was described as an electropop and R&B song. To promote the single, Girls' Generation appeared on Japanese music programs Music Station and Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ, while a music video for the song directed by Toshiyuki Suzuki premiered on June 10, 2012 in order to accompany the release of the song.

Prior to its physical release, a digital version titled X Japan World Best became available in 111 countries via iTunes on May 21.
