Shrawan Kumar is the John R. and Louise S. Parker distinguished professor of mathematics [1] at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has written two books: Kac-Moody groups, their flag varieties, and representation theory and Frobenius splitting methods in geometry and representation theory (jointly with Michel Brion).

Born and raised in Ghazipur, India, Shrawan Kumar earned a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Mumbai and the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai in 1986. His advisor was S. Ramanan. Shrawan Kumar is the younger brother of Gopal Prasad, a professor of mathematics at the University of Michigan, and the elder brother of Dipendra Prasad, a professor of mathematics at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.

In 2012 he became a fellow of the American Mathematical Society. [2]

Mudumbai Seshachalu NarasimhanFRS was an Indian mathematician. His focus areas included number theory, algebraic geometry, representation theory, and partial differential equations. He was a pioneer in the study of moduli spaces of holomorphic vector bundles on projective varieties. His work is considered the foundation for Kobayashi–Hitchin correspondence that links differential geometry and algebraic geometry of vector bundles over complex manifolds. He was also known for his collaboration with mathematician C. S. Seshadri, for their proof of the Narasimhan–Seshadri theorem which proved the necessary conditions for stable vector bundles on a Riemann surface.

Chandrashekhar B. Khare is a professor of mathematics at the University of California Los Angeles. In 2005, he made a major advance in the field of Galois representations and number theory by proving the level 1 Serre conjecture, and later a proof of the full conjecture with Jean-Pierre Wintenberger. He has been on the Mathematical Sciences jury for the Infosys Prize from 2015, serving as Jury Chair from 2020.

Navin Madhavprasad Singhi is an Indian mathematician and a Professor Emeritus at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, specializing in combinatorics and graph theory. He is the recipient of the prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology. Singhi is known for his research in block designs, projective planes, Intersection graphs of hypergraphs, and coding theory.
