Shrutika Arjun (born 17 September 1987) [1] is an Indian television personality, entrepreneur and former actress who appeared in Tamil and Malayalam films. [2] [3] [4] She debuted as an actress in 2002. After two years of acting, she quit the entertainment industry, but returned in 2022 with the third season of the reality series Cooku with Comali 3 , in which she emerged the winner. She was a contestant on the Indian reality show, Bigg Boss Season 18 and she finished in 9th place.

Early and personal life

Shrutika was born on 17 September 1987. Her paternal grandfather is actor Thengai Srinivasan. She studied in Adarsh Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School, Chennai. [1] Her cousin Yogi and brother Adithya are actors. [5] [6] Shrutika's mother is Punjabi. [7] Shrutika is married to businessman Arjun, and they have one son. [3] [8] In 2018, she founded an Ayurvedic skin brand named Haappy Herbs. [9]

Career

At age 15, Shrutika was picked to star in Sri (2002) opposite Suriya. [3] A critic from The Hindu noted that the two make a "nice screen pair". [10] Her role as Ammu in the Malayalam film Swapnam Kondu Thulabharam was praised by reviewers. [11] Shrutika also appeared in supporting roles in Tamil films Nala Damayanthi alongside Madhavan and Thithikudhe alongside Jiiva.[ citation needed ] She then left the film industry to focus on her education, [11] but said in 2020 that she was open to returning. [3] Shrutika returned to entertainment in 2022 with the reality series Cooku with Comali's third season, of which she emerged the winner. [12] In 2024, she became the first Tamil contestant on the Hindi reality series Big Boss , participating in its 18th season, [13] and was evicted on Day 96. [14]

Cooku with Comali, also known by the acronym CWC, is an Indian Tamil-language comedy-based cooking competition show aired on Star Vijay and streams on Disney+ Hotstar where the contestants are paired each week with comedians (comalis) who are amateur cooks. The first season premiered on 16 November 2019 and ended on 23 February 2020. The second season premiered on 14 November 2020 and ended on 14 April 2021. The third season premiered on 22 January 2022 and ended on 24 July 2022. The fourth season premiered on 28 January 2023 and ended on 30 July 2023. The contestants along with their comalis are challenged every week and are judged by Chef Damu and Chef Venkatesh Bhat until season 4.

Sivaangi Krishnakumar, also known as Sivaangi, is an Indian actress, playback singer and television personality. In 2019, she participated in the Tamil singing competition Super Singer 7, which aired on Star Vijay. In 2020, she appeared in the comedy-cooking show, Cooku With Comali, which gained her popularity.
