Siavash Fani (born in Tehran, Iran) is a Canadian graphic designer.

Life and education

He went to the visual art school in 1992. After that in 1996 he started studying visual communications (Graphic Design) at Azad university in Tehran B.A - M.A. He was pretty interested in design and for this reason he selected working for the newspapers and magazine for 7 years. He also continued his education and received his master in visual communication (Graphic Design) from Azad university in Tehran and Interactive Media Management at George Brown College in Toronto, Canada. User Experience Design at OCADU in Toronto, Canada.

Work history

He worked as a designer and director in a lot of newspaper design studios like Hayateno newspaper, Soroush magazine, Hamshahri newspaper and also Iran newspaper and some advertising agencies until 2010. He also was an instructor at Humber College and OCADU University in Toronto, Ontario.

The festivals are held in multiple locations in Toronto, such as the Harbourfront Centre, the Distillery District, and St. Lawrence Center for the Arts. Houmayoun Mahmoudi / Homayoun Mahmoudi, born 1966 in Tehran, is an Iranian/British cartoonist, graphic artist and designer. He studied graphic design at the University of Tehran and graduated in animation from Tarbiat Modares University. Skilled in his own style of minimal cartoon, he has his own technique of working on sandpapers. Mahmoudi is married to Nooshin Moradi, a fashion artist, and moved to the United Kingdom in 2004 and worked as a freelance designer and international artist. He is currently doing PhD research in art and design at Manchester Metropolitan University. He has won numerous international cartoon contests around the world since 1994 and his artworks are exhibited in modern art exhibitions globally. In 1998 Graphis magazine interviewed Houmayoun and published his artworks and between 1999 and 2006 he was working with the Ritzenhoff Design company as a member of their artist team.

Sanaz Mazinani is an Iranian–born Canadian multidisciplinary visual artist, curator and educator, known for her photography and installation art. She is currently based in San Francisco and Toronto.

Project Sunshine for Japan is a worldwide campaign by Mansoureh (Mana) Rahnama in Dortmund, Germany. Rahnama started the networking project in April 2011 in the form of a poster competition in support of the survivors of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster Japan in March 2011.

Jane Norling is a visual artist active in San Francisco Bay Area cultural venues since 1970. Her work addresses social & environmental justice and aesthetic concerns through public art, graphic design, painting, printmaking & small press publishing. She graduated from Bennington College in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts and began her career designing books at Random House before relocating to San Francisco in 1970.

Hiwa Pashaei or Hiva Pashaei is a Kurdish painter, photographer, calligrapher, graphist, curator and publisher from Iran, living in the United States. He is active in the fields of painting, graphic design, research and education of visual arts. Pashaei is known for his spearhead role in pixel art in Iran and Kurdistan. Pashaei is also renowned because of his innovative use of Kurdish culture themes, specially culture of Kermanshah region Kurds, creating figurative works with the subject of Kurdish women, and presenting these themes in the form of modern and post modern art. He is manager of Rouge Art Gallery and Founder of Jowan Visual Art School in Tehran, and also CEO & Founder of Art & Culture Center of California "ACCC" in Los Angeles. Pashaei has held several individual and group exhibitions in Iran and other countries like Iraq, Japan, Italy, France and United States.
