Sibos (previously known as SWIFT International Banking Operations Seminar) is a global financial services event. This annual conference, exhibition, networking event is organized by SWIFT for the financial industry and is held annually around the world in major cities. Sibos brings together thousands of business leaders, decision makers and topic experts from across the financial ecosystem. Industry leading speakers and conference sessions, partners, and multiple networking events occur at Sibos.
The first Sibos was held in 1978 in Brussels [1] and has since been held in multiple European cities such as Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Berlin, and Helsinki, as well as other cities (such as Boston and Toronto) in North America and Sydney in Australia. In recent years, it has also been held more regularly in Asia and Oceania like China, Japan, Singapore, UAE, Australia and others. The conference has an average annual turnout of over 7,000 participants from around the world representing the financial services industry. The highest turnout was at the 2019 conference held in London which had about 11,500 participants.
People who work in financial markets around the world participate as attendees and exhibitors to discuss issues relevant to the financial industry. [2] Topics vary by year, but remain relevant to the current landscape of the global financial ecosystem in the areas of payments, securities, risk management, innovation, and cash management and trade.

The Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (Swift), legally S.W.I.F.T. SC, is a cooperative established in 1973 in Belgium and owned by the banks and other member firms that use its service. SWIFT provides the main messaging network through which international payments are initiated. It also sells software and services to financial institutions, mostly for use on its proprietary "SWIFTNet", and assigns ISO 9362 Business Identifier Codes (BICs), popularly known as "Swift codes".

Since being founded in 1975, the European Nuclear Society (ENS) has grown to become the largest society in Europe for science, engineering and research in support of the nuclear industry. ENS's membership consists of national nuclear societies from 22 European countries, and additionally, Israel. Within the membership there are also stakeholder representatives for nuclear technology and research businesses, with around 60 corporate members. ENS exists to promote the advancement of peaceful uses of nuclear energy on an international level, encouraging networking between countries and facilitating meetings to support global communication on scientific and technical affairs. The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings are annual scientific conferences held in Lindau, Bavaria, Germany, since 1951. Their aim is to bring together Nobel laureates and young scientists to foster scientific exchange between different generations, cultures and disciplines. Organized and hosted by the Global Risk Forum The International Disaster and Risk Conference IDRC is a global gathering of experts for risk reduction, disaster management, and climate change adaptation. IDRCs are held as a biennial conference in Davos, Switzerland and complemented every other year with regional conferences hosted in different regions of the world and endorse the UNISDR Global Platform meetings.
The International Day of Forests was established on the 21st day of March, by resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on November 28, 2013. Each year, various events celebrate and raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests, and trees outside forests, for the benefit of current and future generations. Countries are encouraged to undertake efforts to organize local, national, and international activities involving forests and trees, such as tree planting campaigns, on International Day of Forests. The Secretariat of the United Nations Forum on Forests, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization, facilitates the implementation of such events in collaboration with governments, the Collaborative Partnership on Forests, and international, regional and subregional organizations. International Day of Forests was observed for the first time on March 21, 2013.

The World Resources Forum (WRF) is a non-profit organisation for sharing knowledge about the economic, political, social and environmental implications of global resource use. WRF promotes resource productivity among researchers, policymakers, business, NGOs and the public.
