Siddhi Idnani is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Tamil and Telugu films. She made her acting debut in Telugu film Jamba Lakidi Pamba (2018). She was critically acclaimed as "Paavai" for her role in the Tamil film Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu (2022). [1] [2] She made her Hindi debut with The Kerala Story (2023). [3]
Siddhi Idnani was born and brought up in Mumbai, India. Her Sindhi father, Ashok Idnani, is a businessman and voice modulation trainer and her Gujarati mother, Falguni Dave, is a television actor. [4] She has a bachelor's degree in mass media. [4]
Siddhi Idnani started her career as a theatre artist known for the Gujarati commercial play Aaje Ravivaar Chec. Post that Siddhi become a finalist at Miss Diva, Ahmedabad. [4]
Idnani started her film career with a Gujarati film Grand Hali. She went on to win Miss India super talent and represented India at Miss Supertalent in Paris in 2018. [4]
She debuted in Tollywood with Jamba Lakidi Pamba in June 2018. Her second release, Prema Katha Chitram 2 with Nandita Shweta and Sumanth Ashwin, released in 2019.
She is well known for her role in the Tamil film Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and starring Silambarasan. [5] [6]
Her upcoming films include Nooru Kodi Vaanavil with critically acclaimed director, Sasi. [7] She is known amongst her fans as Dimple Queen.
In 2023, Idnani starred in The Kerala Story , in which she played the role of Geethanjali Menon / Anisha Ba, who goes through struggles of societal identities and beliefs and converted to Islam, while realising the situation and eventually returning to her family but gets trapped in complexities. Gautham Vasudev Menon is an Indian film director, screenwriter, film producer and actor who predominantly works in Tamil film industry. He has also directed Telugu and Hindi films that were either simultaneously shot with or remakes of his own Tamil films. He has won two National Film Awards, three Nandi Awards and one Tamil Nadu State Film Award.
Llewellyn Anthony Gonsalvez is an Indian film editor from Tamil Nadu. He was introduced to cinema through film director Gautham Vasudev Menon by the film Kaakha Kaakha (2003). He continued to collaborated with Gautham V. Menon by Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006), Pachaikili Muthucharam (2007), Vaaranam Aayiram (2008), Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010), Neethaane En Ponvasantham (2012), Yennai Arindhaal (2015), Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada (2016) and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu (2022). Jeyamohan. It is produced by Ishari K. Ganesh. The film stars Silambarasan and Siddhi Idnani, with Radhika Sarathkumar, Neeraj Madhav and Siddique in supporting roles. The film marked the Tamil debut of both Idnani and Madhav. The film revolves around Muthuveeran (Silambarasan), who departs from Thoothukudi to Mumbai to lead a better life, gets involved in the underworld.
Pathu Thala (transl. Ten-Headed) is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language neo-noir action thriller film directed by Obeli N. Krishna and produced by Studio Green, in the company of Pen Studios.
