Kapkapiii is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language horror-comedy [1] film directed by Sangeeth Sivan and produced by Jayesh Patel. The film starring Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Siddhi Idnani among others is a remake of the 2023 Malayalam film Romancham . [2] The adapted screenplay is written by Kumar Priyadarshi and Saurabh Anand. The film was slated for a June 2024 release, but is seemingly pushed due to the death of Sivan during post-production. Production

Producer Jayesh Patel acquired the remake of the 2023 Malayalam hit Romancham and approached Sangeeth Sivan to direct the movie. After Sivan came on board, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade were signed for the lead roles, the former reuniting with the director 19 years after Kya Kool Hain Hum and the latter, 18 years after Apna Sapna Money Money . [6] Sangeeth Sivan passed away in May 2024, while the film was still in post-production. [7]

Romancham (transl. Goosebump) is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language comedy horror film directed by Jithu Madhavan in his directorial debut and produced by Johnpaul George, Girish Gangadharan and Joby George under the banner of Guppy Films and Johnpaul George Productions. Based on a real life incident faced by the director and his friends during their college days, the film stars Soubin Shahir, Arjun Ashokan, Sajin Gopu, Siju Sunny, Abin Bino, Anantharaman Ajay and Afsal P.H. Set in Bangalore, the plot revolves around seven unmarried men and their usage of an Ouija board, which leads to various subsequent events.
