Siedliska [ɕedˈlʲiska] (German : Schedlisken (1938-45:Sonnau)) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Ełk, within Ełk County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.^[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) north-west of Ełk and 120 km (75 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn.

Gmina Ełk is a rural gmina in Ełk County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. Its seat is the town of Ełk, although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).

East Prussia was a province of the Kingdom of Prussia from 1773 to 1829 and again from 1878 ; following World War I it formed part of the Weimar Republic's Free State of Prussia, until 1945. Its capital city was Königsberg. East Prussia was the main part of the region of Prussia along the southeastern Baltic Coast.
