German pop rock band Silbermond has released six studio albums, one compilation albums, and twenty singles (including two as a featured artist). In 2004, their record company Sony BMG requested the quartet to record and release skate punk song "Mach's dir selbst" as their debut single; the song underperformed on the charts. Months later, second single "Durch die Nacht" became a top twenty hit on the German Singles Chart and prompted the label to release Silbermond's debut album Verschwende deine Zeit (2004). A major success, it reached the top five in Austria and Germany, where it was certified platinum and 7× gold, respectively. [1] [2] Ballad "Symphonie", the album's third single, became the group's first top five hit. [3]

Laut gedacht , the group's second album, was released in April 2006. As with "Das Beste", the album's third single and Silbermond's first number-one hit, it reached the top of the charts in Austria and Germany and was eventually certified 3× platinum by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI). [2] In Switzerland, it peaked at number three. [4] Third album Nichts passiert , released in March 2009, debuted atop the Austrian, German, and Swiss Albums Charts. It produced three singles, including "Irgendwas bleibt", Silbermond's second number-one hit, and "Krieger des Lichts", which reached the top ten in Germany. [3] [5] [4]

In 2012, fourth studio album Himmel auf was released. A top three success, it was reached gold status in Austria and 3× gold status in Germany. [1] [2] Its same-titled debut single peaked within the top five in Germany. [3] In 2014, Alles auf Anfang 2014–04 , Silbermond's first compilation was released. It reached the top ten in Austria and Switzerland and was certified gold by the BVMI. [2] The same year, the band collaborated with Band Aid 30 Germany on a remake of "Do They Know It's Christmas?", which became another number-one hit in Germany. [3] Leichtes Gepäck , the group's fifth album, was released in November 2015. Recorded in Nashville, it reached the top five in Germany and Switzerland. [3] [4]

German singer Xavier Naidoo began his music career in the early 1990s. His debut studio album, Seeing Is Believing, was released in 1994, consisting mostly of cover versions of traditional tracks and soul songs from the 1960s and 1970s. Released in the United States only, it failed to chart on the Billboard 200 and thus, was never released in Europe. Following a fall-out with main producer Nicole Dürr, he signed with Frankfurt am Main-based Pelham Power Productions (3P) and began appearing as a background vocalist on several of his label-mates' albums. Naidoo's second studio album Nicht von dieser Welt, produced unter the guidance of Moses Pelham and Martin Haas, was released in May 1998. Strictly Physical is the second studio album by all-female German pop trio Monrose. It was released by Starwatch Music in association with Cheyenne Records and Warner Music on 21 September 2007 in German-speaking Europe and on 8 October 2007 in parts of Eastern Europe. Released only nine months after its best-selling predecessor Temptation (2006), the album took Monrose's work further into dance and electro music, featuring main production by Danish producers Remee, Thomas Troelsen, and Peter Biker, as well as British composers from production collectives Jiant, and Snowflakers.

After her participation in the reality television series Sing meinen Song - Das Tauschkonzert in 2014, the German version of the series The Best Singers, Connor was encouraged to record songs in German. Muttersprache debuted on top of on the German Albums Chart, marking her second number-one album following 2005's Naughty but Nice. Muttersprache is primarily a pop and R&B album.

Released on 25 August 2017, by RAF Camoras own label Indipendenza, the album debuted at number one on the German, Swiss and Austrian album charts. Anthrazit is certified Gold by IFPI Austria and Platinum by Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI). The album produced six singles, including "Kontrollieren", "In meiner Wolke", "Alles probiert", "Bye, Bye", "Andere Liga" and "Primo". All of the singles reached the charts in German-speaking Europe, which exception of "Bye, Bye", which didn't enter the Swiss charts.

Palmen aus Plastik 2 is the second collaborative studio album by German rapper Bonez MC and Austrian rapper RAF Camora, released on 5 October 2018 through Vertigo Berlin and Capitol. It was also made available as a limited edition box set on the same date. Prior to the album, the rappers collaborated on Palmen aus Plastik (2016). Palmen aus Plastik 2 debuted at number one on the German, Swiss and Austrian album charts. The album was certified Gold by Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI) and IFPI Austria. "I Still Burn" is a song by German recording artist Tobias Regner, the winner of the third season of the reality television talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar, broadcast in 2006. It was written by Jess Cates and Peter Wright and produced by Brix Ingo Politz, and Bernd Wendlandt, marking the first time, a DSDS coronation song was not produced by judge Dieter Bohlen. Released as Regner's debut single on March 24, 2006 in German-speaking Europe, it became the biggest-selling single in two years to debut at the charts, where it reached number one in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, making him the first DSDS winner to top the charts in all three regions. "I Still Burn" was eventually certified gold by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI) and became Germany's 13th best-selling single of 2006. It was later included on Regner's debut album Straight (2006).
