Silver Hills Public School, Kozhikode, is a Christian minority institution under the management of CMI Fathers of St. Thomas Province, Kozhikode, who run several educational institutions at all levels in India and abroad. The CMI society was founded by Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara. The school offers 10+2 year pattern of education under both the Kerala state syllabus and also the C.B.S.E. syllabus with recognition up to class XII. The patron of the school is Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara. The school has about 1,500 students and 65 teachers.

Contents

Two institutions constitute Silver Hills School - Silver Hills Higher Secondary School and Silver Hills Public School, with state and C.B.S.E. syllabus respectively. The principal of the former is Fr. Biju John Vellakkada, while the latter is headed by Fr. John Mannarathara.

In 2005 and 2007, the school won C.B.S.E. Kalotsav, a cultural festival organised by Sahodaya Schools Complex of Malabar Region. [1]

Euphrasia Eluvathingal was an Indian Carmelite nun of the Syro-Malabar Church, which is an Eastern Catholic Church in Kerala. It is the oldest and largest educational institution in Irinjalakuda. It is the largest congregation of sisters founded by Blessed Chavara Kuriyakose Elias. It is a government aided English and Malayalam-medium school. The school started with lower primary and high school. Later in 2003, higher secondary section was also added to it. It began as a Malayalam-medium school and an English-medium was added later on. The school is primarily for girls and boys are allowed until fourth grade. The school is going to open a new branch in Bathinda, Punjab. The construction work has been started and soon it will be benefited for the students of bathinda.

Thomas Aykara CMI is the rector of Dharmaram College in Bengaluru, India. He is a Catholic priest of the Syro-Malabar Church. He joined the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI)Carmelites of Mary Immaculate congregation, St. Joseph's Province Kottayam in 1954. He is a philosopher, theologian and religious. He is a scholar, teacher, author and thinker. Several academic centres in India and abroad originated through the efforts of Thomas Aykara.
