William Gilbert Grace was an English amateur cricketer who was important in the development of the sport and is widely considered one of its greatest players. He was nominally amateur as a cricketer,but he is said to have made more money from his cricketing activities than any professional cricketer. He was an extremely competitive player and,although he was one of the most famous men in England,he was also one of the most controversial on account of his gamesmanship and moneymaking.

A club representing the county was first founded in 1842 but Kent teams have played top-class cricket since the early 18th century,and the club has always held first-class status. The current Kent County Cricket Club was formed on 6 December 1870 following the merger of two representative teams. The club's limited overs team is called the Kent Spitfires after the Supermarine Spitfire.
Gloucestershire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Gloucestershire. Founded in 1870,Gloucestershire has always been first-class and has played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England. The club played its first senior match in 1870 and W. G. Grace was their captain. The club plays home games at the Bristol County Ground in the Bishopston area of north Bristol. A number of games are also played at the Cheltenham Cricket Festival at the College Ground,Cheltenham and matches have also been played at the Gloucester cricket festival at The King's School,Gloucester.
Edward Mills Grace was an English first-class cricketer in the second half of the 19th century who was an all-rounder,batting right-handed and bowling slow right arm underarm. He played for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club and was the elder brother of W. G. and Fred Grace. All three played for England against Australia in September 1880 two weeks before Fred Grace died. Always known by his initials,E. M. Grace controversially held amateur status but was criticised for the money he made by playing.
Matthew Jonathan Walker,known as Matt Walker,is a retired English professional cricketer who is currently the head coach of Kent County Cricket Club. Walker was appointed as head coach in January 2017 having been assistant coach at the county since the 2014 season. He played for Kent for 16 seasons until 2008 and then for three seasons for Essex until he retired in 2011.
Richard Alexander Bennett was an English first-class cricketer,who made 37 appearances in first-class cricket from 1896 to 1903. He led his own personal cricket team on a tour of the West Indies in early 1902,as well as playing county cricket for Hampshire. Militarily active,he served in the First World War with the Royal Gloucestershire Hussars.
The County Ground,Beckenham is a cricket ground in Beckenham in the London Borough of Bromley. The ground is owned by Leander Sports and Leisure and is used as an outground by Kent County Cricket Club for First XI fixtures,as well as for other matches. As of 2019 the Kent Women cricket team played the majority of their matches at the ground.

He previously played county cricket for Durham,Gloucestershire and Nottinghamshire and spent a period on loan at Kent towards the end of the 2016 season before joining the club permanently in October 2016.

Gravesend Cricket Club is a cricket club which currently plays in Division 1 of the Kent Cricket League. The club was formed in 1881 when the Harkaway and Clarence Cricket Clubs were amalgamated to form the Gravesend Cricket Club. The club continues to play at the Bat and Ball Ground which has itself been around for over 150 years. First Class Cricket was played at "The Bat" by Kent County Cricket Club and its Second XI. The highest ever score on the ground came from W.G.Grace with 257 for Gloucestershire in 1895,and the most wickets in a match coming from Tich Freeman for Kent in 1931. The club currently has four running league teams,as well as a 5th XI which play friendly matches. Also,the club operates an exciting youth section with teams ranging from U10 to U19. In Autumn 2011,the club was awarded the ECB "Clubmark" status which acknowledges the colts section of the club.
Adam Paul Rouse is a Zimbabwean-born English former professional cricketer. Rouse played as a right-handed batsman who fielded as a wicket-keeper,although he was considered versatile enough to play solely as a specialist batsman. Rouse played for England at under-19 level and made his first-class debut in 2013 for Hampshire County Cricket Club. He played for Gloucestershire in 2014 before joining Kent County Cricket Club ahead of the 2016 season. He retired from professional cricket at the start of the 2020 season.
Paul Bernard Muchall is a former English professional cricketer who played for Kent County Cricket Club and Gloucestershire County Cricket Club between 2010 and 2013.
Imran Qayyum is an English former professional cricketer who played for Kent County Cricket Club. A slow left arm bowler,he made his first-class cricket debut in May 2016 against Northamptonshire in the 2016 County Championship and has gone on to play in limited overs competitions for the county. In May 2021,he was forced to retire from the game due to a shoulder injury.
In 2017,Kent County Cricket Club competed in Division Two of the County Championship,the Royal London One-Day Cup and the NatWest t20 Blast. In addition,before the start of the English cricket season,Kent competed in the 2016–17 Regional Super50,the List A competition of the West Indian domestic season. This was the first time that any English county had competed in an overseas domestic competition. The invitation to take part in the tournament was largely due to the influence of former West Indian captain Jimmy Adams who had been Kent's Head Coach until September 2016.
Mollie Joy Robbins is an English cricketer who currently plays for Gloucestershire and Western Storm. She plays as a right-arm medium bowler.
