Simone Prince Alessio (born 14 April 2000) is an Italian taekwondo athlete. [1]
Alessio won the gold medal at the 2019 World Taekwondo Championships in the men's lightweight competition. [2] He qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics through the 2021 European Taekwondo Olympic Qualification Tournament.
He won the gold medal in the men's welterweight event at the 2023 World Taekwondo Championships held in Baku, Azerbaijan. [3] He defeated Carl Nickolas of the United States in his gold medal match.

The European Taekwondo Championships are the European senior championships in Taekwondo, first held in Barcelona in 1976. The event is held every two years and is organized by the European Taekwondo Union, the continental affiliate of World Taekwondo, which organises and controls Olympic style taekwondo. An additional event, the G4 Extra European Taekwondo Championships were exceptionally held in 2019.
Leonardo Basile is an Italian taekwondo practitioner. In 2005, Basile had won two bronze medals for the over-84 kg class at the World Taekwondo Championships in Madrid, Spain, and at the Summer Universiade in Izmir, Turkey. He also captured a silver medal in the same division at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand, and eventually defeated Slovenia's Ivan Trajkovic for the gold at the 2012 European Taekwondo Championships in Manchester, England. Basile is a member of the taekwondo team for Centro Sportivo Esercito, and is coached and trained by Yoon Soon-Cheul.
Panipak "Tennis" Wongpattanakit is a Thai taekwondo athlete. She is currently the top-ranked athlete in the women's 49 kg.
Jaouad Achab is a taekwondo practitioner from Belgium. He won the gold medal at the 2014 European Championships Men's 63 kg, and at the 2015 World Championships, becoming Belgium's first World Taekwondo champion.
