Siri Hangeland (born 1 April 1952) is a Norwegian feminist,civic leader and politician.
She served two terms as president of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights,from 1990 to 1992 and from 1998 to 2004. [1] [2] From 1996 to 1997 she served as a member of the Committee for Human Rights,a governmental committee appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. [3] She was also a board member of the International Alliance of Women. She is a member of the Socialist Left Party and is a member of that party's committee on women's issues. [4] She graduated with the cand.philol. degree in Norwegian language at the University of Bergen in 1981,with a dissertation titled Sosiolingvistiske forhold i Kristiansand bymål. [5]
Gro Brundtland is a Norwegian politician (Arbeiderpartiet),who served three terms as the 29th prime minister of Norway and as the director-general of the World Health Organization from 1998 to 2003. She is also known for having chaired the Brundtland Commission which presented the Brundtland Report on sustainable development. Educated as a physician,Brundtland joined the Labour Party and entered the government in 1974 as Minister of the Environment. She became the first female Prime Minister of Norway on 4 February 1981,but left office on 14 October 1981;she returned as Prime Minister on 9 May 1986 and served until 16 October 1989. She finally returned for her third term on 3 November 1990. From 1981 to 1992 she was leader of the Labour Party. After her surprise resignation as Prime Minister in 1996,she became an international leader in sustainable development and public health,and served as Director-General of the World Health Organization and as UN Special Envoy on Climate Change from 2007 to 2010. She is also deputy chair of The Elders and a former vice-president of the Socialist International.
Kristin Halvorsen is a Norwegian politician of the Socialist Left Party. She served as Minister of Finance from 2005 to 2009 and as Minister of Education from 2009 to 2013. She also served as the party's leader from 1997 to 2012 and a member of parliament representing Oslo,from 1989 to 2013.

Hanna Kristine Kvanmo was a Norwegian politician for the Socialist Left Party. She served as a Member of Parliament from 1973 to 1989,representing the county of Nordland,as the first parliamentary leader of the Socialist Left Party from 1977 to 1989. A liberal feminist,she served as the 13th President of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights (NKF) from 1936 to 1946 and is credited with reviving the liberal women's rights movement in the 1930s. Bonnevie said that NKF should work for solutions that are in the best interest of all women and society,"be the captain who keeps a steady course" in the struggle for equality and "set out the main policy objectives and seek to get the government,parliament and local government bodies to implement the reforms that are required."
