Siti Nurhaliza [note 1] is the second album from Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza of the same name which was released in 1997.

Recorded after the release of her debut self-titled album (1996). Siti Nurhaliza II was Siti Nurhaliza's two of six collaborations with Adnan Abu Hassan. For the first time of Siti's career, she wrote the lyrics for the song, "Demi Kasih Kita".

Production

Siti Nurhaliza II was produced by Suria Records for Siti Nurhaliza in 1997, a year after she release her debut album and marks her second collaboration with Adnan Abu Hassan. [1]

Her first single, "Aku Cinta Padamu" became her breakthrough hits in Indonesia and retitled as "Betapa Ku Cinta Padamu" for the Indonesian version. [2] The song also covered in English version as "I Wonder" by an Australian boy band North, in their second album, Straight Up. [3] Siti Nurhaliza covered English song "The Colour of My Love" originally performed by Celine Dion who considered by Siti as her idol, from her 1993 album of the same title. [4] For the song "Rindu Di Antara Kita", it features vocals by Siti Nurhaliza and Ciang Teng, where Siti sung in Malay while Ciang Teng sung in Mandarin. [5]

Adnan Abu Hassan, the album's producer contributes three songs in the album — "Demi Kasih Kita", "Wajah Kekasih" and "Rindu Di Antara Kita". Other musicians contributes their songs in the album are husband and wife LY and Baiduri ("Aku Cinta Padamu" and "Kesilapanku, Keegoanmu"), Fauzi Marzuki, Zul Mahat, Xiao Wong, Helen Yap, Arthur Ganov and David Foster. Release and reception

Siti Nurhaliza II was released on 27 January 1997 (17 days after Siti Nurhaliza celebrates her 18th birthday) and was well-received, sold over 400, 000 copies [2] and being certified 6× platinum. [6] [7] [ non-primary source needed ] Ten music videos were produced for Siti Nurhaliza II. The first single from the album, "Aku Cinta Padamu", where its music video was filmed at the foreground of Kuala Lumpur Tower. [2] For the "Bisikan Asmara" music video, Siti Nurhaliza was accompanied by two male dancers in a white background studio. [2]

Siti Nurhaliza II was reported to have sold more than 500,000 units in Indonesia alone. [8]

Transkripsi is the twelfth studio album from Malaysian pop singer-songwriter Siti Nurhaliza and has been touted as Malaysia's Best Album of 2006. It also hailed as Siti's best album ever. The album was released on 23 April 2006 in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei and at a later time in Indonesia. Siti performed the first single, "Biarlah Rahsia", at the Anugerah Planet Muzik in 2006 which was aired live from Singapore, weeks before the actual release date. The album features of what Siti describes as "the assemble of emotions or feelings which combined as one for as long as we live". The album has sold over 80 thousand copies. The album has been nominated for the Best Vocal Performance in an Album (Female), Best Album Cover and Best Music Video, won Best Pop Album and Best Album at the Anugerah Industri Muzik in 2007.

Anugerah Planet Muzik 2009 is the 9th edition of Anugerah Planet Muzik, held on July 18, 2009, for the first time taking place in Indonesia, in the Jakarta Convention Center. It was the first time APM was in Jakarta. There was a bombing at the hotel Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott Hotels the day before the show, but that did not stop the musicians of Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia from continuing to enliven the Anugerah Planet Muzik 2009.

The main live tracks were all taken from her 2015 unplugged concert at Istana Budaya on 7 April 2015. The CD, digital download and LP record versions of the album however come with three new bonus songs, "Menatap dalam Mimpi", "Engkau" ("You") and "Mikraj Cinta". Sponsored by Celcom and Yonder Music, the free concert was only available exclusively to Celcom users who are subscribers of the Yonder Music mobile app. It was held on 2 April 2016 and she was supported and accompanied by five Malaysian artists and three Indonesian artists. Staged at Stadium Negara, the supporting acts during the night of the concert were Faizal Tahir, Hafiz Suip, Jaclyn Victor, Joe Flizzow, and SonaOne of Malaysia and Afgansyah Reza, Anggun, and Cakra Khan from Indonesia.
