The 2020 Summer Olympics women's street skateboarding competition occurred on 26 July 2021 at Ariake Urban Sports Park in Tokyo, Japan.
It was originally scheduled to be held in 2020, but on 24 March 2020, the Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [1]
Momiji Nishiya of Japan won the gold medal, with Rayssa Leal of Brazil and Funa Nakayama of the Japan winning the silver and bronze medals.
All 20 skateboarders did two 45-second runs, and then five single tricks rounds. Only the top 4 scores from the seven rounds for each skateboarder counted toward the final score. The top 8 skateboarders from the Semi-Final qualified for the finals, where the scores were reset and follow the same two 45 second round and five single trick round format.

Skateboarding at the 2020 Summer Olympics was an event held in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. It was the debut appearance of skateboarding at the Summer Olympics. Skateboarding was one of four new sports added to the Olympic program for 2020; it is also provisionally approved for the 2024 Summer Olympic games. The proposal to add skateboarding to the Olympics was approved in August 2016.

Yuto Horigome is a Japanese professional skateboarder. He won the gold medal in the inaugural Olympic men's street event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, becoming the first person ever to win a gold medal in men's Street Skateboarding at the Summer Olympics. He defended his gold medal in the 2024 Olympic men's street event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
Puerto Rico competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the territory's nineteenth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics. Like on the 2016 Summer Olympics, Puerto Rico left the Olympics with a single gold medal, this time won by Jasmine Camacho-Quinn. Other athletes fell short of their Olympic medal, with Steven Piñeiro finishing sixth in the men's skateboarding street park final, and table tennis player Adriana Díaz losing a match in the third round.

Winning at the age of 13, she is the youngest person ever to win a gold medal for Japan, and the third youngest after Marjorie Gestring and Klaus Zerta to ever win an event at the Summer Olympics.
The 2024 Summer Olympics men's street skateboarding competition took place on 29 July 2024, having been postponed due to rain at Place de la Concorde two days earlier in Paris.
