Skullage is a compilation/live album by American heavy metal band Black Label Society, [6] although the first two songs are from Zakk Wylde's solo career and side project Pride & Glory. Some versions also come with a bonus DVD. [7]

Contents

This is the third compilation released to document Wylde's catalogue, the first being the promotional-only No More Tears EP, followed by Kings of Damnation 98–04 in 2005.

"In This River" is a song by American heavy metal band Black Label Society, a power ballad featured on their 2005 sixth studio album Mafia. Performed entirely by guitarist, vocalist and pianist Zakk Wylde, it was released as the third single from the album and reached number 32 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

"Stillborn" is a song by American heavy metal band Black Label Society from the album The Blessed Hellride. It was also released as a single. Zakk Wylde's own vocal style also became quite similar to Ozzy Osbourne's for this record, while Osbourne was featured in the song on chorus singing with Wylde the lines, "The feelings I once felt are now Dead and gone. I've waited here for you for so very long."

Pride & Glory was a side project formed by vocalist/guitarist Zakk Wylde and White Lion members James LoMenzo and Greg D'Angelo. Wylde subsequently formed the band Black Label Society in 1998, which remains active.

It is the only Black Label Society album to feature former Breaking Benjamin drummer Chad Szeliga after fill-in Mike Froedge departed the band. Froedge himself replaced Will Hunt, who in turn replaced longtime drummer Craig Nunenmacher, all in the span of fewer than two years.

Grimmest Hits is the tenth studio album by American heavy metal band Black Label Society. The album was released on January 19, 2018. According to AllMusic, the sound of the album was inspired by Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. Despite its title, the album is not a greatest hits album. Zakk Wylde admitted in an interview with Billboard that he "just wanted to confuse people".
