Sligo, North Carolina

Sligo is an unincorporated community in Currituck County, North Carolina, United States. [1] It is south of Moyock on Route 168. It was reportedly named in 1783 after the Irish home county of a prominent Methodist minister and patriot, Rev. Edward Dromgoole. [2] [3]
