The Reliance Building is a skyscraper located at 1 W. Washington Street in the Loop community area of Chicago, Illinois. The first floor and basement were designed by John Root of the Burnham and Root architectural firm in 1890, with the rest of the building completed by Charles B. Atwood in 1895. It is the first skyscraper to have large plate glass windows make up the majority of its surface area, foreshadowing a design feature that would become dominant in the 20th century.

It was designed in the Colonial Revival style by architect Henry Smith. The hotel was built to accommodate official visitors and tourists during the building of Boulder Dam, now Hoover Dam.
The Seward Hotel, also known as the Governor Hotel, is a historic hotel building in downtown Portland, Oregon, United States, that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Built in 1909, it is one of two NRHP-listed buildings that make up the Sentinel Hotel, the other being the 1923-built Elks Temple. The Seward was renamed the Governor Hotel in 1931, closed in the mid-1980s, and reopened in 1992 joined with the former Elks building, and thereafter formed the east wing of a two-building hotel.

The historic 21-story Rhodes–Haverty Building was, at the time of its construction in 1929, the tallest building in Atlanta, Georgia. Designed by Atlanta architects Pringle and Smith, the building was built by furniture magnates A. G. Rhodes of Rhodes Furniture and J. J. Haverty of Havertys. It remained the tallest building in Atlanta until 1954.
Caliente station is a historic Mission Revival style railway station, located in Caliente, Lincoln County, Nevada. The station is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Caliente Railroad Depot, and is Nevada Historical Marker number 249.
John Virginius Bennes was an American architect who designed numerous buildings throughout the state of Oregon, particularly in Baker City and Portland. In Baker City he did an extensive redesign of the Geiser Grand Hotel, designed several homes, and a now-demolished Elks building. He moved to Portland in 1907 and continued practicing there until 1942.
The Cornelius Hotel is a hotel building in downtown Portland, Oregon, United States that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was designed by John V. Bennes's firm, and constructed in 1907–08. Its original period of use as a hotel had ended by the 1950s. A fire in 1985 left the top three floors uninhabitable. By the early 1990s the building had been vacated, and it then stood out of use for more than two decades. In 2016–2018, it was joined to the adjacent Woodlark Building, extensively renovated, and converted into a hotel. Named Woodlark House of Welcome, the hotel was scheduled to open on December 15, 2018.
The Knights of Columbus Building, also known as the Aero Club Building, in Portland, Oregon, was a Late Gothic Revival architecture building that was built in 1920. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places from 1990 until its demolition. The building was demolished in 1998. The property is now the site of the Paramount Hotel.
The Nevada City Downtown Historic District is a 16-acre (6.5 ha) historic district in Nevada City within the U.S. state of California. Located in Nevada County, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. It dates from 1917, with examples of Moderne and Italianate architecture. The period of significance is 1856-1917. The historic district covers the downtown section roughly bounded by Spring, Bridge, Commercial, York, Washington, Coyote, and Main Streets. It includes 70 contributing buildings including the National Hotel, which is separately listed on the National Register. Several historical buildings have received California Historical Landmark status, and have been preserved.
The Virginia & Truckee (V&T) Railroad Depot of Carson City, Nevada is a historic railroad station that is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). It is significant for its association with the economically important role of the V&T railroad historically in Carson City following discovery of the Comstock Lode mine in 1859. To a lesser degree, according to its NRHP nomination, the depot building is also significant architecturally "as a well-preserved example of a wood-frame passenger depot procured from a railroad company pattern book within the V&T's former sphere of operation."
The El Cortez Hotel, at 239 W. 2nd St. in Reno, Nevada, is a historic Art Deco-style hotel that was designed by Reno architects George A. Ferris & Son and was built in 1931. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
George A. Ferris & Son was an architectural firm in Reno, Nevada, consisting of partners George Ashmead Ferris (1859-1948) and his son Lehman "Monk" Ferris (1893-1996). The partnership lasted from just 1928 to 1932; both father and son however were individually prominent.
The Frey Ranch, at 1140 W. Peckham Ln. near Reno, Nevada, dates from 1870, when a 240 acres (97 ha) ranch was founded. A 1 acre (0.40 ha) site of its main house, including Late Victorian architecture, survives. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999; the listing included three contributing buildings.

Morrill Hall at the University of Nevada, Reno is a historic Italianate building that was built during 1885–86. It was described by architect Edward Parsons as "'a classic example of Italianate Victorian architecture...dignified with a wood shingled mansard roof and full dormer windows.'"
