Eva Moolchan, better known as Sneaks, is an American spoken word and post-punk musician from Washington, D. C. [1] According to NME 's Jordan Bassett, "she favours short, sharp, effortlessly cool compositions that worm their way into your consciousness without breaking a sweat." [2]
Moolchan was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. She formed the band Shitstains with Katie Alice Greer, in which Moolchan sang and played guitar and Greer played drums. Moolchan went on to participate in Blood, a noise music project, and the Young Trynas, in which she played bass. She then began her solo career as "Sneaks" while attending the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. Her solo debut recording was the cassette Sneaks, originally released in 2014 on the independent Sister Polygon Records imprint. In 2015, Sneaks was reissued by the French record label Danger Records as an LP under the title Gymnastics. She then signed with Merge Records, which reissued Gymnastics again in 2016. Her second studio album, It's a Myth, was released on Merge in March 2017. It was followed by Highway Hypnosis, which was released in January 2019, also on Merge. Riot/Clone was a punk band often associated with the anarcho-punk scene, active from 1979 to 1983 and then revived in the early 1990s until they split up again in 2005. The band were originally known as Riot but the name became Riot/Clone after two members of the original lineup wanted the band's name to become Clone.
Chronic Town is the debut EP by American alternative rock band R.E.M., released on August 24, 1982, on I.R.S. Records. Containing five tracks, the EP was recorded at the Drive-In Studio in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in October 1981, eighteen months after the formation of the band. Its co-producer was Mitch Easter, who produced the band's "Radio Free Europe" single earlier in 1981.

Where Have All the Merrymakers Gone? is the debut studio album by American rock band Harvey Danger. It was initially released by the independent record label the Arena Rock Recording Company on July 29, 1997. The second song on the album, "Flagpole Sitta", received extensive airplay in the United States and resulted in the band's fame. As the song gained national attention, the album was picked up and reissued by Slash Records, a label associated with London Records. On July 29, 2014, 17 years to the day after the album's initial release, Where Have All the Merrymakers Gone? was re-released, for the first time as a vinyl LP, by No Sleep Records. The album has been described by Fuse as "a definitive indie power pop punk record at a time and place where grunge reigned supreme".

C86 is a cassette compilation released by the British music magazine NME in 1986, featuring new bands licensed from British independent record labels of the time. As a term, C86 quickly evolved into shorthand for a guitar-based music genre characterized by jangling guitars and melodic power pop song structures, although other musical styles were represented on the tape. In its time, it became a pejorative term for its associations with so-called "shambling" and underachievement. The C86 scene is now recognized as a pivotal moment for independent music in the UK, as was recognized in the subtitle of the compilation's 2006 CD issue: CD86: 48 Tracks from the Birth of Indie Pop. 2014 saw the original compilation reissued in a 3CD expanded edition from Cherry Red Records; the 2014 box-set came with an 11,500-word book of sleevenotes by one of the tape's original curators, former NME journalist Neil Taylor.
