The men's slopestyle competition of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi were held at Rosa Khutor Extreme Park on 6 February (qualification) and 8 February (semifinals and final). [1] This was the first time that a slopestyle event was included in the Olympic program. [2]
Norwegian snowboarder Torstein Horgmo, who was considered one of the medal contenders, fractured his collarbone after a crash in practice in the week before the Games, and had to miss the Olympics. His crash and complaints from other athletes that some jumps were too steep have prompted organizers to modify the slopestyle course. [3] [4]
The gold was won by American Sage Kotsenburg, followed by Norwegian Ståle Sandbech at silver place, and Canadian Mark McMorris won the bronze medal.
An athlete must have placed in the top 30 in at a World Cup event after July 2012 or at the 2013 World Championships and a minimum of 50 FIS points. A total of 30 quota spots are available to athletes to compete at the games. A maximum of four athletes can be entered by a National Olympic Committee. [5]
Shaun White of the United States, who was among the qualifiers, withdrew, leaving a total of 29 athletes competing. [6]

Torstein Horgmo is a Norwegian professional snowboarder. Horgmo has competed, and medalled in, a variety of slopestyle and big air snowboarding competitions. He rides regular stance.
Sébastien Toutant is a Canadian snowboarder. He is the Olympic gold medallist in men's big air snowboarding at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Toutant was twice the gold medal winner in slopestyle at the X Games in 2011 and 2013. He has also won two silver medals and a bronze in slopestyle and big air events at the X Games, bringing his total medals in the competition to five.

Anna Gasser is an Austrian snowboarder, competing in slopestyle and big air. She lives in Millstatt. She is the 2018 and 2022 Olympic Champion in Big air.
Elena Könz is a Swiss snowboarder, competing in slopestyle.
Laurie Blouin is a Canadian freestyle snowboarder. She is the reigning FIS World Champion in slopestyle, winning the gold at the 2017 World Championships. Blouin won a silver medal in slopestyle at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
The men's halfpipe competition of the 2018 Winter Olympics was held from 13 to 14 February 2018 at the Bogwang Phoenix Park in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The event was won by Shaun White, who previously won this event in 2006 and 2010. Ayumu Hirano, the 2014 silver medalist, took silver. Scott James became the bronze medalist. For James, this is the first Olympic medal, and this was also the second medal for Australia at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The Women's moguls event in freestyle skiing at the 2018 Winter Olympics took place at the Bogwang Phoenix Park, Pyeongchang, South Korea from 9 to 11 February 2018. It was won by Perrine Laffont, with Justine Dufour-Lapointe taking silver and Yuliya Galysheva taking bronze. For Laffont and Galysheva these were first Olympic medals. Galysheva also won the first ever medal in Kazakhstan in freestyle skiing.
Snowboarding at the 2022 Winter Olympics were held at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou and Big Air Shougang in Beijing, China. The events took place between 5 and 15 February 2022. A total of 11 snowboarding events will be held.
The men's big air competition in snowboarding at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 14 February (qualification) and 15 February (final), at the Big Air Shougang in Beijing. Su Yiming of China won the event, his first Olympic gold medal. Mons Røisland of Norway won silver, his first Olympic medal, and Max Parrot of Canada won bronze.
