Datuk Snowdan anak Donald Lawan (born 5 September 1971) [1] is a Malaysian politician from the Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS),a component party of the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition who has served as the State Assistant Minister of Tourism,Creative Industry and Performing Arts of Sarawak in charge of Creative Industry and Performing Arts in the GPS state administration under Chief Minister Abang Abdul Rahman Johari Abang Openg and Minister Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah since January 2022 and Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Balai Ringin since May 2006. He served as State Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports of Sarawak in the GPS and Barisan Nasional (BN) state administrations under Chief Minister Abang Johari and Minister Abdul Karim from May 2017 to December 2021. He has also served as Youth Chief of PRS since October 2016.

Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu is a right-wing political party in Malaysia. It is currently the largest political party in Sarawak,with strongholds only in the rural areas. Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu was formed from the combination of three parties in Sarawak;Parti Negara Sarawak,Barisan Rakyat Jati Sarawak and Parti Pesaka Anak Sarawak. The formation of the party was for the purpose of the improvement of the livelihood and protect the rights of the Bumiputera in many fields such as politics,economy and social. The party is also one of the former constituents of the Barisan Nasional coalition. Following the fall of BN in the 2018 general election and in the aftermath of a meeting between all Sarawak-based BN coalition parties on 12 June 2018,PBB left the coalition to formed a new Sarawak-based coalition,Sarawak Parties Alliance.
Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas is a Malaysian politician who has served as Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak and Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bukit Saban since May 2016. He currently serves in the state cabinet of Chief Minister Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Abang Openg as Second Minister for Finance and New Economy,as well as Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development. Yang Berhormat Dato' Murshid Diraja Dr. Juanda Jaya is a Malaysian politician and mufti who has served as State Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister's Department of Sarawak in charge of Integrity and Ombudsman in the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) state administration under Chief Minister Abang Abdul Rahman Johari Abang Openg and Minister John Sikie Tayai since January 2022 and Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Jemoreng since May 2016. He is a member of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB),a component party of the ruling GPS coalition. He also served as the Mufti of Perlis from January 2009 to January 2014. On 1 October 2009,he started to take leave and was a visiting scholar to Oxford University from 5 October 2009 to 4 August 2010 for 10 months. He is of Melanau descent.

Gabungan Parti Sarawak or abbreviated GPS is a Sarawak-based political alliance in Malaysia. It was established in 2018 by four former Barisan Nasional component parties operating solely in Sarawak following the federal coalition's defeat in the 2018 Malaysian general election. The 2021 Sarawak state election,formally the 12th Sarawak general election,was held on 18 December 2021 to elect the 19th Sarawak State Legislative Assembly. All 82 seats would be up for election,presuming no constituencies were added or removed in a redistribution. As the 18th Assembly first sat on 7 June 2016,it was originally set to be dissolved automatically on 7 June 2021. However,the 2021 state emergency declaration,preceded by an federal 2021 Malaysian state of emergency declaration nationwide,arising from the 2020–21 political crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic,suspended the automatic dissolution of the legislature until the proposed end of the emergency duration on 2 February 2022. On 3 November 2021,Istana Negara announced that Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah had consented to lift the state of emergency thus the state legislative assembly dissolved automatically and the state election must be held within 60 days after to elect a new state government.

He was a member of the Parti Bangsa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) and later Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS),a component party of the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition. He also served as President of PRS from its founding in March 2004 to his death in October 2021.

The First Abang Johari cabinet took office on 19 January 2017,six days after the election of Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Abang Openg to the leadership of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) and his appointment as Chief Minister of Sarawak,Malaysia. It succeeded the second Adenan cabinet,which dissolved on 11 January 2017 following the death of the previous Chief Minister Adenan Satem.
