Sodemo Moteurs is a motor vehicle engine tuning company based in Magny-Cours, near Nevers, France owned by Guillaume Maillard.

Formed in 1981, and based within the ground of the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, Sodemo is most associated with the tuning of Renault engines for performance and motor racing purposes. Sodemo Moteurs is perhaps best known for its preparation of two litre racing engine for Formula 3.

The firm has also been associated with the engine tuning of Alfa Romeo and Mercedes touring car engines and Range Rover rally raid engines and has worked with WilliamsF1 to win the British Touring Car Championship with Renault Laguna touring cars. Pescarolo Sport has also used Sodemo in preparation of its 24 Hours of Le Mans sportscars. [1]

The company also designed a series of liquid-cooled V2 aircraft engines. [2]

The 1991 French Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held at Magny-Cours on 7 July 1991. It was the seventh race of the 1991 Formula One World Championship, and the first French Grand Prix to be held at Magny-Cours. The 72-lap race was won by Nigel Mansell, driving a Williams-Renault, with local driver Alain Prost second in a Ferrari and Ayrton Senna third in a McLaren-Honda.

Gordini is a division of Renault Sport Technologies. In the past, it was a sports car manufacturer and performance tuner, established in 1946 by Amédée Gordini, nicknamed "Le Sorcier". Gordini became a division of Renault in 1968 and of Renault Sport in 1976.

The season began at Cheste, Spain on 8 April 2006 and ended in Monza, Italy on 10 September 2006. The season was won by ART Grand Prix driver Lewis Hamilton, over Piquet Sports driver Nelson Angelo Piquet, who was the only other contender.

Euroformula Open Championship tournament

The Euroformula Open Championship is a junior formula racing series based in Spain. It was one of six national and international Formula Three championships in Europe and Scandinavia that together use to form an important part of the established "career ladder" below Formula One. The championship's first season was held in 2001. In 2006, it was branded as the Spanish F3 Championship by Toyota, in deference to its sole engine supplier. In 2020, the championship ceased to be a F3-championship and will share its specifications with Japan's Super Formula Lights based on the previous-generation Formula Three standards, primarily with a choice of engines.

V6 ESL engine French automobile engine

Dallara T08

The Dallara T08 was a racing car developed by Italian manufacturer Dallara for use in the Formula Renault 3.5 series, and was in use from 2008 to 2011. The T08 is the second generation of car used by the World Series by Renault/WS Formula V8 3.5, and was introduced at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours. The carbon tub of the car would later be carried over to its successor, the Dallara T12.
