Something Special is the thirty-third solo studio album by Dolly Parton. It was released on August 22, 1995, by Columbia Records. In addition to the seven new Parton compositions, she updated three classics from her repertoire: "Jolene", "The Seeker", and "I Will Always Love You", the latter of which was performed as a duet with Vince Gill. The Gill duet, Parton's third recording of the song, reached #15 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, becoming Parton's highest charting single in four years. Additionally, it was named "Vocal Event of the Year" by the Country Music Association.
The Walls Came Down is the fifth studio album released by country music artist Collin Raye. The album's lead-off single, "I Can Still Feel You", was Raye's fourth and final Number One on the Billboard country charts. "Because of You" was later recorded by Celine Dion for limited editions of her 2002 album, A New Day Has Come. It is McCann's only album to not contain any writing credits from McCann herself.
Pearl River was an American country music band composed of Jeff Stewart, Chuck Ethredge, Joe Morgan, Derek George, Ken Fleming (drums), and Bryan Culpepper. Signed to Liberty Records in 1993, the band would record two albums: 1993's Find out What's Happening, followed by a self-titled album one year later. This later album replaced Fleming with Steve Argo who was picked by Fleming to be his replacement after Fleming decided to leave the band, and Culpepper with Gary Schiera. The first album also produced a minor hit single on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts in the single "Fool to Fall". After disbanding in 1994, some members of Pearl River served as a backing band for Bryan White.
