Somethingness is the ninth studio album by Canadian alternative rock band Our Lady Peace (OLP). Produced under Warner Music Records label by Jason Lader, [1] [2] who also produced their preceding album Curve, this is the band's first studio album in nearly six years and it was promoted using the PledgeMusic platform, [3] [4] a website which facilitates musicians reaching out to their fans to market and distribute music.

It is the first OLP album to have been released in two separate volumes; Vol. 1 was released as an EP in August 2017, [5] and the remainder of the album (initially referred to as Vol. 2) was released on February 23, 2018, and contained all of the songs from Vol. 1. The album is the first not to feature original drummer Jeremy Taggart, who departed from the band in 2014, and is the first to feature Jason Pierce, who officially replaced Taggart in 2016.

Led by lead vocalist Raine Maida since its formation, the band currently also features Duncan Coutts on bass, Steve Mazur on guitars, and Jason Pierce on drums. Although not initially intended, the project evolved into a conceptual interpretation of futurist and inventor Raymond Kurzweil's 1999 book The Age of Spiritual Machines. Short tracks of spoken dialog from Kurzweil himself are interspersed among the actual songs on the album. The Kurzweil K250 keyboard, one of his inventions, was utilized throughout the recording of the album.

The album fared well in both Canada and the U.S., but didn't match up to the success of its 2002 predecessor, Gravity. Tenth Avenue North American contemporary Christian band

Tenth Avenue North was an American contemporary Christian music (CCM) band from West Palm Beach, Florida that took its name from an east-west road in Palm Beach County. The group was formed while members attended Palm Beach Atlantic University.
