Sons Of Rock (1988) is Menudo's 26th album (and fifth in English).

It featured Ricky Martin, Raymond Acevedo, Sergio Gonzalez, Rubén Gómez and new member Angelo García. This is the first English album the band recorded of all new material, without any previous Spanish songs translated into English. [1] Angelo replaced Ralphy Rodríguez, after just one year of tenure, Rodríguez's parents pulled him off the band citing cruel treatment by management. [1] In late 1988/early 1989, Sons Of Rock was re-released with a new album cover. This time it featured a neon magenta color, as well as a new picture of the group and current line-up: Ricky Martin, Sergio Blass, Rubén Gómez, Angelo García and new member Robert Avellanet replacing Raymond Acevedo.

Carlos Javier Rivera Massó, better known as Charlie Massó, is a Puerto Rican singer and actor. Massó is a former member of Menudo, joining the band at the height of Menudo's worldwide fame. He replaced Rene Farrait and quickly became a fan favorite with his participation on the albums of Por Amor and Una Aventura Llamada Menudo, which was the name of both Menudo's second movie and of the soundtrack album for it. Charlie recorded 14 albums with Menudo, two were nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album in 1984 and 85.

Fiel a La Vega is a Rock en Español band from Puerto Rico formed in 1994. The band consisted of members Tito Auger and Ricky Laureano, who come from the northern city of Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, along with brothers Pedro and Jorge Arraiza, who come from the neighboring city of Vega Baja. Their hometown is what gave name to the band. Since 1996, they were joined by percussionist Papo Román, who left the band in 2006 to spend time with his family.

Rafael Rodríguez, most notably known as Ralphy Rodríguez, is a singer/songwriter, musician, producer, and former member of Menudo. He replaced Charlie Massó.

Refrescante, loosely known as Menudo for the portuguese album, is Menudo's 21st and 22nd studio album released in 1986, featuring Charlie Massó, Robby Rosa, Ricky Martin, Raymond Acevedo, and Sergio Gonzalez. These are the second and third albums this line-up recorded together This also the first time the group recorded songs made by Brazilian composers, the single "Diga Sim" was written by Ed Willson and Carlos Colla, the song "Alegria" by Michael Sullivan and Paulo Massadas and "Cara ou Coroa" which version was made by Carlos Costa. In Brazil, the Portuguese version of the album was titled "Menudo", and was released 25 June 1986.

Los Últimos Héroes is Menudo's 28th album. It was produced and recorded in Caracas, Venezuela, by Willie Croes. This album proved to be successful as the album was also under an inspiration for a telenovela miniseries with the same name, with future member Jonathan Montenegro in the show.

Menudo: Edicion Brasil, more commonly known as Os Últimos Heróis, is the 29th album by the band Menudo, and 4th being released in Portuguese after four years. It features Sergio Gonzalez, Rubén Gómez, Robert Avellanet, Rawy Torres, and new member César Abreu, who replaced Angelo García after he left the band due to appendix. This will also be Cesar's only album, as he left the group after only months of his entry. He claimed during an interview with CBS News in 2022 that he did not feel safe in the band, because, according to him, he was bullied while at Menudo. Abreu's family helped get him out of the band.. He was replaced by Adrián Olivares, from Mexico, who would be the first non-Puerto Rican member to take part in Menudo as a new cover and title was added, but kept César as the lead vocalist. Some of the songs are from albums Somos Los Hijos del Rock, Sons of Rock, Sombras & Figuras, and Los Últimos Héroes.

Menudo is an album released by Menudo in 1985. This is the third time the group release a self-titled album, the first one was in 1981, which was also released under the title Fuego. The second one was Menudo's 17th album released in 1985, featuring Charlie Massó, Roy Rosselló, Robby Rosa, Ricky Martin, and new member Raymond Acevedo. Raymond replaced Ray Reyes after Ray had to be forced to leave the group because of the numerous fights and misunderstandings between his father and the group's manager. According to Ray's brother, Raul Reyes, his brother's departure was anticipated. This album contains seven brand new songs plus three songs from their Evolución album translated into English. It also features their only song to reach the Billboard Hot 100: "Hold Me," which peaked at No. 62. A music video was released for this single. One of the band's most successful albums, Menudo features two members who went on to become highly successful international stars as solo artists: Ricky Martin and Robi Rosa.

Ayer y Hoy is Menudo's 18th album released in 1985, featuring Charlie Massó, Roy Rosselló, Robby Rosa, Ricky Martin, and Raymond Acevedo. This is the second album that this line-up recorded together. The album had a Portuguese version, A Festa Vai Começar, with all the songs translated into Portuguese and bearing a slightly revised cover. The album peaked at #19 in the Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart. This is the last album Roy Rossello recorded as a member. According to a book written by Raymond Acevedo's father in 2012 titled "Papi, Quiero Ser Un Menudo," In January 1986, Roy threatened to expose management irregularities to the press and was given a huge sum of money to leave the group due to his behavior as it was deemed by creator Edgardo Diaz as "uncontrollable." The song is registered with the ISWC and has been recorded by a number of artists, starting with Philippine born, Japanese soul singer Marlene, where it was one of the tracks on her jazz/soul/funk album Looking for Love, recorded in Los Angeles and released on CBS/Sony in 1984. The album was re-issued on CD with the song featuring as track 8 on CD on 25 July 1991, and again on 8 November 2017 on Sony Records International.

José Luis "Josélo" Vega is a Puerto Rican dancer and choreographer, who is best known for his involvement with boy band Menudo, as their choreographer and second-in-command, after band creator and manager Edgardo Diaz. He was also the band's creative director. Vega is also known for his involvement in the career of former Menudo member Ricky Martin.
