Viva! Bravo! (1986) is Menudo's 20th album. It is the band's only album in Italian.
It features Charlie Massó, Robby Rosa, Ricky Martin, Raymond Acevedo, and new member Sergio Gonzalez. Sergio replaced Roy Rosselló. According to a book written by Raymond Acevedo's father in 2012 titled "Papi, Quiero Ser Un Menudo," Roy threatened to expose management irregularities to the press and was given a huge sum of money to leave the group due to his behavior as it was deemed by creator Edgardo Diaz as "uncontrollable." At this time, Menudo's management started bending the rules and started allowing members to remain in the group after reaching the age limit. This album contains songs from previous Spanish albums translated to Italian.

Carlos Javier Rivera Massó, better known as Charlie Massó, is a Puerto Rican singer and actor. Massó is a former member of Menudo, joining the band at the height of Menudo's worldwide fame. He replaced Rene Farrait and quickly became a fan favorite with his participation on the albums of Por Amor and Una Aventura Llamada Menudo, which was the name of both Menudo's second movie and of the soundtrack album for it. Charlie recorded 14 albums with Menudo, two were nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album in 1984 and 85.
El Reencuentro was the name that six ex-members of musical group Menudo used for their comeback project remembering Menudo's golden era. The songs on this album are a selection from the group's previous four Spanish albums translated into Portuguese. This is the last album that Ricky Meléndez recorded as a member of the group. The album sold over one millions copies in Brazil.
Evolución is Menudo's 16th album. This album features new member Ricky Martin. Ricky Martin replaced Ricky Meléndez, the last member to exit from the original line-up. Ricky Meléndez was nearing his 17th birthday when it was decided who was going to be his replacement. Ricky Martin wasn't their first choice. Ray's brother Raúl Reyes was working the backup vocals and was considered to join the group, also Tico Santana was the name of a kid considered to join the group at that time, but for unknown reasons it was decided that Ricky Martin be given the position. This is also the last album Ray Reyes recorded as a member of the group. It received a nomination for a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album. Ricky Martin sings lead vocal on "Rayo De Luna", one of the group's most popular songs of the era.

King Holiday is a single released on January 13, 1986, by the King Dream Chorus & Holiday Crew. Composed by Phillip Jones, Kurtis Blow, Grandmaster Melle Mel and Bill Adler, it was released in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which was first celebrated as a national holiday in the United States on January 20, 1986. All proceeds from the single were donated to the King Center for Nonviolent Social Change. The single peaked at No.30 on the Billboard Hot Black Singles chart.
