The South Africa men's national volleyball team represents South Africa in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. The team has competed in the biennial African Men's Volleyball Championship eight times since 1993. Currently, the team is in joint last (ninth) position on the medals table of the previously mentioned championship along with Guinea, having won only one bronze medal in 2001.
After first entering the African Volleyball Championship in 1993, South Africa finished in 8th place out of 10 teams. After missing the 1995 championship, the team returned in 1997, finishing 7th out of 8. South Africa competed again in 2001, this time finishing 3rd out of only 5 teams. South Africa therefore qualified for the 2002 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship qualification but they later withdrew.
In the next five championships, South Africa finished 7th out of 8 teams in 2003; 8th out of 10 teams in 2005; 4th out of 9 teams in 2007; 7th out of 9 teams in 2009; and 7th out of 8 teams in 2011. [1]
The South Africa men's national volleyball team have not competed in the African Volleyball Championship since 2011. They have not competed in any worldwide tournaments or events since their founding.

The Argentina national volleyball team represents Argentina in international men's volleyball and is controlled by the Argentine Volleyball Federation.
The Bulgaria men's national volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. It is controlled by the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation.
The Russia men's national volleyball team is governed by the Russian Volleyball Federation and took part in international volleyball competitions.
The Brazil men's national volleyball team is governed by the Confederação Brasileira de Voleibol(Brazilian Volleyball Confederation) and takes part in international volleyball competitions. Brazil has three gold medals at the Olympic Games, won three times the World Championship and nine times the World League. Brazil is the #3 team on the FIVB World Rankings. The team is often referred to as volleyball's "Dream Team" due to its success under coach Bernardo Rezende.
The France national men's volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. It was the reigning European Champion in 2015 and is ranked 3rd in the FIVB world ranking. France have been competing in the World League ever since the inaugural edition in 1990 and continuously since 1999. In 2006 they finished second to Brazil but had their share of disappointment in subsequent seasons. In 2009 they narrowly missed making the Final Six, falling at the last hurdle to Slovenia. They suffered another setback in 2010 when they again missed the finals and finished 12th.
The Poland women's national volleyball team represents Poland in international volleyball competition. The team is controlled by the Polish Volleyball Federation, the governing body for volleyball in Poland, which represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches.
The Germany men's national volleyball team represents Germany in international volleyball competitions. It is governed by the German Volleyball Association. Germany won the gold medal at the 1970 World Championship as East Germany and the bronze medal at the 2014 World Championship.
The women's national volleyball team of Thailand represents the Thailand in international volleyball competitions. It is managed by the Thailand Volleyball Association.
The South Korea men's national volleyball team represents South Korea in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Korea Volleyball Association. The Republic of Korea (ROK) has competed in the Olympic Games eight times, but has not featured since the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. The national team's best performance at the Olympic Games was 5th place at the 1984 Games in Los Angeles, California, United States. The national team at the FIVB World Championship competed nine times, with their best result at 4th place in 1978. On continental level, The national team won three gold medals at the Asian Games in 1978, 2002 and 2006. And at the Asian Championship, the national team won four gold medals, two of these was at home in 1989 Seoul and 2001 Changwon and the other two are in 1993 and 2003. The national team now ranks 30th in the FIVB World Rankings and their current head coach is Im Do-heon.
The Canada men's national volleyball team represents Canada in international volleyball competitions. They are overseen by Volleyball Canada, the governing body for volleyball in Canada.
The Tunisia men's national volleyball team, nicknamed Les Aigles de Carthage , represents Tunisia in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. The team is one of the leading nations in men's volleyball on the African continent, having won a medal in almost every continental championships they participated since 1967. Eleven-time African Championship winners, Tunisia have participated in seven Olympics, with a best finish of ninth at Los Angeles 1984.
Beach volleyball was introduced at the Summer Olympic Games in the 1992 Games as a demonstration event, and has been an official Olympic sport since 1996. The United States is the only country to win medals in every edition.
Bernardo Rocha de Rezende, known as Bernardo Rezende and nicknamed Bernardinho, is a Brazilian volleyball coach and former player. He is the current coach of the female volleyball team Rio de Janeiro Vôlei Clube. Rezende is one of the most successful coaches in the history of volleyball, accumulating more than 30 major titles in a twenty-year career directing the Brazilian male and female teams.
The India men's national volleyball team represents India in international volleyball competitions. It is managed by the Volleyball Federation of India and is currently sponsored by Sahara India Pariwar and Asics.
The Thailand men's national volleyball team represents Thailand in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Thailand Volleyball Association.
The Qatar men's national volleyball team represents Qatar in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. As of 20 September 2021, the team was ranked 20th in the world. Qatar's best rank in Asian Championship 3rd place, 2023 year.
The Men's Volleyball Thailand League is the top-level professional men's volleyball league in Thailand. Contested by eight clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Volleyball Pro Challenge League. Seasons run from October to March, with teams playing 14 games each. Most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays, with a few games played on weekdays.
The Iran Men's National Volleyball Team is the official national men's volleyball team of Iran. It is governed by the Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (I.R.I.V.F.) and takes part in international volleyball competitions.
The FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1962 they were held every four years. The tournament will be held biannually starting in 2025.
The Brazil men's national under-19 volleyball team represents Brazil in international men's volleyball competitions and friendly matches under the age 19 and it is ruled by the Brazilian Volleyball Federation that is a member of South American volleyball body Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV) and the international volleyball body government the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB).
