The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, commonly abbreviated as ASEAN, is a political and economic union of 10 states in Southeast Asia. Together, its member states represent a population of more than 600 million people and land area of over 4.5 million km2 (1.7 million sq mi). The bloc generated a purchasing power parity (PPP) gross domestic product (GDP) of around US$10.2 trillion in 2022, constituting approximately 6.5% of global GDP (PPP). ASEAN member states include some of the fastest growing economies in the world, and the institution plays an integral role in East Asian regionalism.

Abdul Hadi bin Awang is a Malaysian politician and religious teacher who has served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Marang since October 1990, 7th President of the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS), an Islamist political party and a component party of Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, since July 2002. Wan Abdul Rahim bin Wan Abdullah is a Malaysian politician. He was a former member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Kota Bharu constituency in Kelantan from 2008 to 2013 representing the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) in the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) opposition coalition. He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the PN coalition was a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition. After the defeat of BN to PH in the 2018 general election, he resigned from UMNO in 2018 and joined BERSATU in 2019.

Adenan bin Haji Satem, popularly known as Tok Nan, was a Malaysian politician who served as the fifth chief minister of Sarawak from March 2014 to his death in January 2017. During his tenure, Adenan held the position as the President of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), which is part of the Barisan Nasional coalition. He was of Malay descent. He is referred to as the Father of Sarawak Unity.
Johari bin Abdul Ghani or more commonly known as Dato' Jo is a Malaysian politician and chartered accountant who has served as Minister of Plantation and Commodities in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim since December 2023 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Titiwangsa from May 2013 to May 2018 and again since November 2022. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition. He has served as the Treasurer General of BN since April 2023 and Vice President of UMNO since March 2023. He is also presently the only BN MP in Klang Valley.
Noorainee binti Abdul Rahman is the wife of Muhyiddin Yassin, who served as the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia from March 2020 to August 2021, 10th and former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia from April 2009 to July 2015. She is known for the school-in-hospital project.
Habibah binti Abdul Rahim is a Malaysian educator and the former Director-General of Education from January 2020 to March 2021.
