St. Paul High School, located in St. Paul, Virginia was part of Wise County Public Schools. St. Paul High educated approximately 200 students ranging from 8th through 12th grades. The school recently submitted its application for President Obama's Race to the Top High School Commencement Challenge. After the 2010–2011 school year, St. Paul High School closed when Wise County Public Schools consolidated Coeburn High School and St. Paul to form Eastside High School in Coeburn, Virginia.

Extracurricular activities

St. Paul High School had many different organizations that met during club schedules. Many of these organizations went on special field trips to Dollywood and state conferences. St. Paul had very active Virginia FBLA and Virginia FCCLA organizations. St. Paul FBLA has had three national competitors in the past three years, two state officers, and a state president. FCCLA has had two state winners.

Academics

St. Paul High School was one of the first to gain full accreditation in Wise County. The 2007–2008 school year had nearly 50% having advanced on the Virginia SOL tests. The high school prided itself in being a small community school with high SOL scores. The school won the Wachovia Cup for the 1992–1993 season as well as the Creative Writing championship for 1993. The school also has many P.A.C.E. championships. In 1941, Saint Paul was awarded for a Trophy Class Yearbook. [1]

Wetlands Project

The Wetlands Estonoa Project was a student initiated and run project focused on reclaiming a local wetlands and educating the community about its value. It has achieved national notoriety, including receiving a large federal grant to build the Vencil Learning Center. The student group received an award by former President George W. Bush.

Craigmont High School is a public high school located in Memphis, Tennessee, in the Raleigh community. It was part of the Memphis City Schools district before consolidation with Shelby County Schools (Tennessee) beginning with the 2013-14 school year. It is home to the city's only International Studies Program. The school first opened in 1974 for only 7th through 10th grade students, but each subsequent year, added a grade higher. The first graduating class was the class of 1976. In 2001, the 7th and 8th grade students, along with the 6th grade students from Brownsville Road Optional Elementary School, formed the new Craigmont Middle School at the opposite end of the same block. This was done both to help overcrowding and to reduce the extreme age and maturity gaps present in a single building. Before the physical split between junior and senior high schools, junior high students remain relegated to the north end of the building for classes while those senior high students attended the majority of their classes in the south end of the school building. Former principal, Dr. Ada Jane Walters, would go on to become the Tennessee State Commissioner of Education.

Northwood High School is located in Pittsboro, Chatham County, North Carolina, United States. The school is the largest of three high schools in Chatham County and is operated by Chatham County Schools. The school's mascot is the Charger and the school colors are gold and green. It is a member of the Big Eight 3A Athletic Conference. It currently serves around 1,024 students. The Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, or FBLA-PBL (FBLA-ΦΒΛ), is an American career and technical student organization headquartered in Reston, Virginia. Established in 1940, FBLA-PBL is a non-profit organization of high school ("FBLA"), middle school, and college ("PBL") students, as well as professional members, who primarily help students transition to the business world. FBLA-PBL is one of the largest student organizations in the United States, with 253,365 members, and the largest career student organization in the world. Local FBLA-PBL chapters are often connected to their school's business education department, and most advisers are business education teachers. It is one of the top 10 organizations listed by the U.S. Department of Education. FBLA's national charity partner is the March of Dimes, and the March of Dimes provides grants of $1,000 for local chapters and $2,500 for state chapters to promote their goals.
