Skt Josef's, Roskilde International School (Danish: Sankt Josefs Skole) is an independent, Roman Catholic school in Roskilde, Denmark. The school has both an International and Danish department with a total of more than 1000 pupils.
A group of Daughters of Wisdom nuns settled in Roskilde in 1901. They came to Denmark as a result of the separation of the church from the state in France. The established Skt Josef's School as well as the adjacent St Mary's Hospital in 1904. [1]
They were also involved in the establishment of St Lawrence's Church on the opposite side of the street. [2]
The school was initially a girls' school and all teaching was conducted by nuns. Later they began to use trained teachers and boys were accepted as pupils from 1924. [1]
In 2012, the International Department opened with its first thirteen students.
The school has both an international and Danish department with a total of more than 1000 pupils. The Danish department covers reception class to 10th grades of the Danish school curriculum. The International department covers Year 1 to Year 11 (age 5 to 16) and is based on the Cambridge International Education programme.

Rygaards International School is a private Christian/Catholic international school in Copenhagen, Denmark. The former Roman Catholic bishopric of Odense was a bishopric on the Danish islands that included the islands of Funen, Langeland, Tåsinge, Lolland, Falster, Als and Ærø. Roskilde Abbey or Our Lady's Abbey, Roskilde was a monastery of nuns dedicated to Saint Mary the Virgin. The abbey was located at Roskilde on the Danish island of Zealand. It was founded in the early 12th century for Benedictine nuns, but in 1177 became part of the Cistercian reform movement. St. Joseph's Hospital is a building and former hospital in Aarhus, Denmark that was built and inaugurated in 1907. It was built for the Sisters of St. Joseph to function as a hospital in the city of Aarhus as a supplement to the public hospitals. It was designed by the architect Thorkel Møller in baroque revival style. The Sisters of St. Joseph operated St. Joseph's Hospital for 64 years until it sold the building to Aarhus County in 1971. It has since housed VUC Aarhus for a number of years and as of 2015 Kiloo owned the building and was planning to make the it their headquarters.
