Roskilde is a city 30 km (19 mi) west of Copenhagen on the Danish island of Zealand. With a population of 52,580, the city is a business and educational centre for the region and the 10th largest city in Denmark. It is governed by the administrative council of Roskilde Municipality.
Roskilde University is a Danish public university founded in 1972 and located in Trekroner in the Eastern part of Roskilde. The university awards bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and PhD degrees in a wide variety of subjects within social sciences, the humanities, and natural sciences.
Høje-Taastrup Municipality is a municipality in the Capital Region on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 78 km² (30 mi²), and has a total population of 55,258. It was formed by the 1970 Danish Municipal Reform, and its 1974 adjustment, by merging the parish municipalities of Høje Taastrup, Sengeløse, the Fløng part of Hvedstrup-Fløng and the Reerslev part of Reerslev-Vindinge. Since 1 January 2006 the mayor of the municipality has been Michael Ziegler, a member of the Conservative People's Party political party.
Roskilde County is a former county on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The county was abolished effective January 1, 2007, when it merged into Region Sjælland.
Ramsø was a municipality in the former Roskilde County on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in east Denmark until 1 January 2007. The municipality covered an area of 76 km2 (29 sq mi) and had a total population in 2005 of 9,320. Its last mayor was Poul Lindor Nielsen, a member of the Social Democrats (Socialdemokraterne) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was Viby. Other towns and villages in the municipality were Gadstrup, Skalstrup, Snoldelev and Ørsted.
Årstad is a borough in the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. Historically, the area was a separate municipality called Årstad until 1916, when it was merged into the city of Bergen. The borough has similar boundaries to those of the old municipality.
Indre By, also known as Copenhagen Center or K or Downtown Copenhagen, is an administrative district (bydel) in central Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. It covers an area of 4.65 square kilometres (1.80 sq mi), has a population of 26,223, and a population density of 5,638 per km².
Hedehusene is a suburban town located on the rail line between Copenhagen and Roskilde in the Capital Region of Denmark. It has absorbed the villages of Baldersbrønde and Fløng and almost merged with Roskilde's eastern Trekroner neighbourhood to the west and Høje Taastrup to the east. To the south is the large recreational area Hedeland. As of 1 January 2023, the town had a population of 14,868. A large development project, NærHeden, created as a collaboration between Høje-Taastrup Municipality and Realdania, will expand the town to the southeast with a new sustainable neighbourhood.
Copenhagen Municipality, also known in English as the Municipality of Copenhagen, located in the Capital Region of Denmark, is the largest of the four municipalities that constitute the City of Copenhagen, the other three being Dragør, Frederiksberg, and Tårnby. The Municipality of Copenhagen constitutes the historical city centre and the majority of its landmarks. It is the most populous in the country with a population of 656,787 inhabitants, and covers 86.4 square kilometres (33.4 sq mi) in area,. Copenhagen Municipality is located at the Zealand and Amager islands and totally surrounds Frederiksberg Municipality on all sides. The strait of Øresund lies to the east. The city of Copenhagen has grown far beyond the municipal boundaries from 1901, when Frederiksberg Municipality was made an enclave within Copenhagen Municipality. Frederiksberg has the largest population density of the municipalities of Denmark.
Refshaleøen is a former industrial site in the harbor of Copenhagen, Denmark originally on a separate island but now annexed to the larger island of Amager. For more than a hundred years, it was home to the shipyard Burmeister & Wain which closed in 1996.
Amerika Plads is a public square and surrounding neighbourhood in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is the result of a redevelopment of an area in the southern part of the former Freeport of Copenhagen into a mixed-use neighbourhood which consists of dwellings, offices and retail establishments, combining converted historic buildings and modern architecture. The former Free Port Station building was put in storage during the redevelopment and is now located in the middle of the square where it serves as a café. The area is to the west bounded by Kalkbrænderihavnsgade, part of a major thoroughfare, and to the east by Dampfærgevej connected to Kalkbrænderihavnsgade in both ends and separating Amerika Plads from America Quay, the western quay of the Southern Free Port dock. The name of the area, like that of the quay, is a reference to the Amerikabåten, large passenger ships which used to transport Danish emigrants to New York City during the first half of the 20th century.
Nordvest or The North West Block is an area in Denmark's Copenhagen municipality. It is located in the southwestern part of the Bispebjerg district. Although there are no clear borders nor any official demarcation, it is broadly recognized as the area covered mostly by the Danish postal code 2400 København NV, although some areas lie outside this postal code. As of 2005, 44,177 people resided in the area.
Zealand University Hospital, Roskilde is the main hospital in Roskilde on the Danish island of Zealand. It should not be confused with Zealand University Hospital, Køge. Zealand University Hospital, Roskilde was founded in 1855, and as of 2014 it had 437 beds for in-patients and several specialist wards. The hospital has been continuously modernized and expanded over the years. In 2010, physics facilities have been established in medical and hematological outpatient units, while the cardiology laboratory was expanded for CAG/PCI. In 2011, a haematological ward and a urological ward were modernized and re-equipped. The hospital works in conjunction with Roskilde University in biomedical research, health services research, research assignments, direct research and pharmaceutical biology. It is also involved in scientific co-operation with the Risø Research Centre.
Musicon is a district of the city of Roskilde on the Danish island of Zealand. It is being developed south of Roskilde railway station in an area of 250,000 m2 (2,700,000 sq ft) where a cement factory once stood.
Folkeparken is the largest public park in central Roskilde, Denmark. The park adjoins two other parks, Berte Margrethe Anlægget and Klostermarken.
Byparken is a public park in central Roskilde, Denmark. It was founded in 1915 and was partly financed through a donation of the textile manufacturer O. H. Schmeltz. The park adjoins Provstevænget, a small protected field next to Roskilde Cathedral. Together, the two areas form a large green space between the cathedral and Roskilde Fjord.

Peter Bangs Vej is a 2.2 km long street in Frederiksberg, a city in the Copenhagen area on the island of Zealand, Denmark. The direct continuation of Smallegade, it initially runs west, from Nordre Fasanvej, but then turns south along the east side of Damhus Lake to meet Roskildevej. There is a large sports complex on the south end of the street with the football club F.C. Copenhagen's training facilities as well as the multi-purpose venue K.B. Hallen.
Verdensparken is a park on 5.2 hectares in Furuset, Oslo, Norway which opened in 2013 and was completed in 2014. The park reflects the population of the suburb of Furuset, where 63% of inhabitants had an ethnic origin other than Norwegian in 2009, and immigrants came from around 140 countries. In Verdensparken, there is a space to practice parkour.
