Stavanger Health Trust (Norwegian : Helse Stavanger) is a health trust which serves southern Rogaland. Its main facility is Stavanger University Hospital, as well as local clinics and institutions around Rogaland. The trust was formed on 1 January 2002 as a result of the national health reforms and is owned by Western Norway Regional Health Authority

Rogaland is a county in Western Norway, bordering the North Sea to the west and the counties of Vestland to the north, Vestfold og Telemark to the east and Agder to the east and southeast. In 2020, it had a population of 479,892. The administrative centre of the county is the city of Stavanger, which is one of the largest cities in Norway.

Stavanger's core is to a large degree 18th- and 19th-century wooden houses that are protected and considered part of the city's cultural heritage. This has caused the town center and inner city to retain a small-town character with an unusually high ratio of detached houses, and has contributed significantly to spreading the city's population growth to outlying parts of Greater Stavanger.
Sandnes is a city and municipality in Rogaland, Norway. It lies immediately south of Stavanger, the 4th largest city in Norway, and together the Stavanger/Sandnes area is the third-largest urban area in Norway. The urban city of Sandnes lies in the extreme western part of the vast municipality and it makes up about 5% of the total land area of the municipality.
Sola is a municipality and a Seaside resort in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Jæren. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Solakrossen. Other villages include Tananger, Hålandsmarka, Sørnes, and Stenebyen. Stavanger Airport is located in Sola, just a short distance from the large Stavanger/Sandnes metropolitan area.

Strand is a municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Ryfylke. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Jørpeland. The municipality lies across the fjord from the city of Stavanger. The Ryfast tunnel system connects Stavanger and Strand by a very long undersea tunnel.
The University of Stavanger is a university located in Stavanger, Norway. UiS was established in 2005 when the former Stavanger University College received university status. It had about 11,000 students and 1,370 employees including academics, administrative and service staff in 2017.

Stavanger District Court was a district court in Rogaland county, Norway. The court was based in the city of Stavanger. The court existed until 2021. It had jurisdiction over the central part of the county which included the municipalities of Hjelmeland, Kvitsøy, Randaberg, Sola, Stavanger, and Strand. Cases from this court could be appealed to Gulating Court of Appeal. The court was led by the chief judge Tor Christian Carlsen. This court employed a chief judge, 18 other judges, and 24 prosecutors.

DNB Arena is an indoor ice hockey rink in Stavanger, Norway, and home to the Fjordkraftligaen side Stavanger Oilers. Opened ahead of the 2012–13 season, the arena has a capacity for 4,500 spectators during ice hockey matches and 6,000 during concerts, including 36 executive boxes. The rink is unusual for Norway in that it has the National Hockey League rink size. The 16,500 square meters (178,000 sq ft) building is designed by Arkitektkontoret Jobb and is named for DNB, a Norwegian banking group.
Stavanger Heliport, University Hospital is a heliport situated on the premises of Stavanger University Hospital in the Våland neighborhood of the city of Stavanger in the municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. Used exclusively for air ambulance services, it is home to a Eurocopter EC-135P2+ operated by Norsk Luftambulanse (NLA) on contract with the National Air Ambulance Service. The base is owned by Stavanger Hospital Trust. When it opened in 1981, it was the second such base in the country.
Stora Stokkavatnet is a lake in the municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. The 2.12-square-kilometre (0.82 sq mi) lake lies just west of the centre of the city of Stavanger. The lake lies in the western part of the municipality and it forms the boundary of the boroughs of Tasta, Eiganes og Våland, and Madla.
Sør-Rogaland District Court is a district court located in Rogaland and Agder counties in Norway. This court is based at three different courthouses which are located in Stavanger, Sandnes, and Egersund. The court serves the southern part of Rogaland plus one municipality (Sirdal) in western Agder. The court takes cases from 17 municipalities. The court in Egersund accepts cases from the municipalities of Bjerkreim, Eigersund, Gjesdal, Lund, Sirdal, and Sokndal. The court in Sandnes accepts cases from the municipalities of Hå, Klepp, Sandnes, and Time. The court in Stavanger accepts cases from the municipalities of Hjelmeland, Kvitsøy, Randaberg, Sola, Stavanger, and Strand. The court is subordinate to the Gulating Court of Appeal.
