Philip Steffan Jones (born 9 February 1974) is a former professional cricketer who played for Somerset,Northamptonshire,Derbyshire and Kent County Cricket Clubs. He was a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium pace bowler. He is now a teacher and occasionally a bowling coach.
Born in Llanelli,Carmarthenshire,Jones attended Ysgol y Strade in Llanelli,Loughborough University and Homerton College,Cambridge. [1] He played for Cambridge University in 1997 and took 9–148 in the Varsity match that season. He made his first-class debut for Somerset later that season and spent seven years with them before having two unsuccessful seasons with Northamptonshire in 2004 and 2005. Playing for Derbyshire in 2006 Jones had much more success taking 59 wickets including a career best 6–25 against Glamorgan. He returned to Somerset for the 2007 season.
Although primarily playing as a bowler he was also a useful lower-order batsman,with two first-class centuries to his name,both while playing for Somerset,scoring 105 against the New Zealanders in 1999,as well as 110 not out against Leicestershire in April 2007.
Jones joined Kent on loan for one month at the start of the 2009 season, [2] subsequently returning to Somerset and then spending the end of the season with Derbyshire. After impressing by taking 30 wickets and scoring two half-centuries,he signed a two-year contract to remain with Derbyshire until 2011,taking on a coaching role in addition to his playing duties. [3] He retired from cricket at the end of the 2011 season to take up a post at Wellington School,Somerset,where he is the head of Sports Performance and Wellbeing. [4] [5]
In March 2022,Steffan was contracted by Rajasthan Royals as their high performance fast bowling coach for the 2022 Indian Premier League season. He had previously been the side's fast bowling coach in 2019. [6] [7]
Devon Eugene Malcolm is a Jamaican-born English former cricketer. Born in Kingston,Jamaica,Malcolm played in 40 Test matches and 10 One Day Internationals for the England cricket team.
Robert Damien Bale Croft is a former Welsh cricketer who played international cricket for the England cricket team. He is an off-spin bowler who played for Glamorgan and captained the county from 2003 to 2006. He retired from first class cricket at the end of the 2012 season,having played county cricket for 23 seasons. He commentates on cricket occasionally for Sky Sports.

Twenty20 cricket is played over 20 overs according to normal limited-over rules,the one exception being the rule for "timed out",where the time by which an incoming batsman must be at the crease ready to receive his first ball is reduced to 90 seconds after the outgoing batsman has been dismissed. Arthur William Wellard was a cricketer who played for Somerset and England. A late starter in county cricket,having been told by his native county,Kent,that he would be better off taking up a career as a policeman,Wellard played on into his late 40s. He was a Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1936.

The 1979 Gillette Cup Final was a cricket match between Somerset County Cricket Club and Northamptonshire County Cricket Club played on 8 September 1979 at Lord's in London. It was the seventeenth final of the Gillette Cup,which had been the first English domestic knock-out competition between first-class sides. Northamptonshire had won the competition in 1976;Somerset were playing their second consecutive final,having lost to Sussex in 1978.
Andrew Carter is an English cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right-hand medium pace bowler,he began his county career with Nottinghamshire,making his first-class debut for them in June 2009. He also played on loan for Essex in 2010 and Glamorgan in 2015 while with Nottinghamshire. Carter joined Derbyshire prior to the 2016 season,but left the club later in the year. He represented England Lions in 2011.
Liam Connor Norwell is an English cricketer who currently plays for Warwickshire. A right-handed batsman and right-hand medium pace bowler he made his first-class debut for Gloucestershire against Derbyshire in April 2011. Norwell signed a new two-year contract for Gloucestershire in 2013.

The 2020 Bob Willis Trophy was a first-class cricket tournament held in the 2020 English cricket season,and the inaugural edition of the Bob Willis Trophy.
