Stephanie Barrett (born January 26, 1979) is a Canadian archer. [1] Barrett took up the sport at 37, and has been practising the sport since a few weeks before the 2016 Summer Olympics. [2]
Barrett began practising archery in 2016, and came first in the Canadian Field and Target Championships in 2018. [3] She competed at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, where she finished tied for 17th in the individual recurve, tied fifth for team and fourth in the mixed team.
In March 2021, Barrett claimed one of three available quota places for the 2020 Summer Olympics in the women's individual recurve at the 2021 Pan American Archery Championships in Monterrey, Mexico, where she won silver. [4] [3] Barrett was officially nominated to the team on May 12, 2021. [5] [6] A week later at the World Cup stop in Lausanne, Switzerland, Barrett scored a 652 in the qualification round, the highest ever by a Canadian woman in an international competition. [7] Barrett competed in women's individual archery at the Olympics in July 2021. At the qualifiers, she ranked #46 out of 64 with a score of 630; she and Crispin Duenas did not have a high enough combined score to qualify for the mixed team event. [8] She lost her individual match with Yasemin Anagoz 6–2. [9]
Crispin Natanie Duenas is a Filipino-Canadian recurve archer who represented Canada at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, and the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Brady Ellison is an American archer who competes in recurve archery. He holds the record for the longest continuous period as the world number-one-ranked men's recurve archer, from August 2011 to April 2013. He earned his nickname "The Prospector" during the 2015 world championships due to his proclivity for 'finding gold'.
Deepika Kumari is an Indian professional archer, supported by OGQ. She won a gold medal in the 2010 Commonwealth games in the women's individual recurve event. She also won a gold medal in the same competition in the women's team recurve event along with Dola Banerjee and Bombayala Devi. She has won individual gold in two of the three stages of the World Cup—one in Guatemala and another in Paris. In the process she also reclaimed the number one ranking after nine years in Paris World Cup. Deepika Kumari won individual gold medals at the Archery World Cup Stage 1. Deepika Kumari also defeated Mexico by 5–1 in the final to win gold in Paris.

The women's individual archery event at the 2015 Pan American Games was held from 14 to 18 July 2015 at the Varsity Stadium in Toronto, Canada. One of five archery events as part of the 2015 Pan American sporting programme, it was the tenth time the women's individual recurve competition had been contested at the Games. The archery competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are scheduled to run over a seven-day period, from 25 July to 4 August, at Les Invalides. 128 archers will compete across five events, with the successful mixed team recurve returning to the Olympic program for the second time.
