Archery at the Summer Olympics

Bombayla Devi Laishram is an Indian archer. Laishram peaked at no. 14 in the world rankings in March 2009.

Archery World Cup

The Archery World Cup is a competition, started in 2006, organized by the World Archery Federation, where the archers compete in four stages in four countries and the best eight archers of each category advance to an additional stage to contest the Archery World Cup Final. This form of competition was introduced following the success of the 2003 World Archery Championships in New York and the 2004 Summer Olympics with the intent of making the sport more popular and attractive to spectators, with the matches being held in 'spectacular' locations and the final matches being broadcast online. It has received plaudits for its innovative approach to the sport, raising its profile and reach.

The World Archery Asia (WAA) formerly known as Asian Archery Federation (AAF) is the continental governing body of the sport of archery in Asia. It is affiliated to World Archery Federation (WAF). South Korean businessman Chung Eui-sun is the current president of the federation.

Asian Archery Championships is the archery championship organized by the World Archery Asia.

South African National Archery Association

South African National Archery Association (SANAA) is the national governing body for the sport of archery in South Africa, recognised by the World Archery Federation. It was officially established on 17 November 1949.

The World Archery Rankings is a ranking system developed by the World Archery Federation for international competitive archery. It is calculated using a points system and published following major World Archery tournaments.

Archery at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Womens individual

The women's individual archery event at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held from 5 to 13 August at the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. One of four archery events as part of the 2016 Olympic catalogue of sports, it was the fourteenth time a women's individual competition was contested as a discipline at the Olympic Games. Forty different nations qualified for the event, sending a total of sixty-four archers to compete. The defending Olympic champion was Ki Bo-bae of South Korea.

Lisa Buscombe is a Canadian retired archer. Buscombe won various medals in archery championships including a gold medal at the 1984 World Field Archery Championships and the 1985 World Games. In 1985, she was inducted into the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame.

World Para Archery Championship, was first held in 1998 in the UK and take place every two years.
