Bangladesh Archery Federation is the national federation for archery and is responsible for governing the sport in Bangladesh. [1] Lieutenant General Mohammad Mainul Islam is the president and Kazi Razib Uddin Ahmed [2] the general secretary of the foundation. [3]
Bangladesh Archery Federation was established in 2001. It became an affiliate of the World Archery Federation in 2003. [4] In November 2019, the foundation received sponsorship from City Group. [5]

From 2009 to 2023, at least 2,699 people were victims of extrajudicial killings in Bangladesh. During the period, 677 people were forcibly disappeared, and 1,048 people died in custody. From 2004 to 2006, at least 991 people were killed extrajudicially by "death squad" the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB). The practice of extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances primarily involves law enforcement agencies such as the RAB and the Detective Branch (DB) of the police.

He is the former Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division and Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Bangladesh Army. He also served as Director General Bangladesh Rifles. He is currently the president of the Bangladesh Archery Federation.
