The Bangladesh Gymnastics Federation is the national federation for gymnastics and is responsible for governing the sport in Bangladesh. [1] Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Mamun is the president of the federation. [2]
The Bangladesh Gymnastics Federation was established in 1972 and received government recognition the next year. In November 1973, national gymnastic competitions were held for the first time in Bangladesh. In 1974, competition for women gymnastic were started. [3] In August 2019, Japan donated equipment, worth 1.2 million taka, to the federation. [4]

Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which gymnasts perform individually or in groups on a floor with an apparatus: hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon and rope. Rhythmic gymnastics is governed by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), which first recognized it as a sport in 1963. At the international level, rhythmic gymnastics is a women-only sport.

Nellie Vladimirovna Kim is a retired Soviet and Belarusian gymnast of Sakhalin Korean and Tatar descent who won three gold medals and a silver medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, and two gold medals at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. She was the second woman in Olympic history to earn a perfect 10 score and the first woman to score it on the vault and on the floor exercise, rivaling Nadia Comăneci, Ludmilla Tourischeva, and other strong competitors of the 1970s.

George Julius Gulack was an American gymnast and Olympic champion and was involved in gymnastics administration for both the American Athletic Union and the Olympic Committee. He was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and competed at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles where he received a gold medal on the rings.
Yukio Endō was a Japanese artistic gymnast, Olympic champion and world champion. He was part of the first Japanese team that succeeded to win gold medals in the team event at the Summer Olympics (1960) and World Championships (1962). In 1964 he won the first individual all-around Olympic gold medal for Japan. He was the flag bearer at the 1968 Summer Olympics.
Quazi Syque Caesar is a Bangladeshi-American gymnastics coach. A retired artistic gymnast, he represented Bangladesh at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and was a captain of the Michigan Wolverines men's gymnastics team. He was an assistant coach for the Stanford Cardinal men's gymnastics team for over six years, was the head coach for the men's gymnastics athlete resident program at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center until its dissolution in 2022, and is currently coaching at EVO Gymnastics.
Gymnastics at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro was held in three categories: artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampolining. All gymnastics events were staged at the Arena Olímpica do Rio from 6 to 21 August 2016.

James Robert Hall is an English artistic gymnast. A member of the English and British Senior teams since 2014, he has best known as an all-around and team gymnast, having won all-around bronze and team gold and silver in the European Artistic Gymnastic Championships and two team golds and an individual all-round silver in the Commonwealth Games. His signature piece is horizontal bar, in which he has won silver at the 2022 Commonwealth Games

Kaya Kazuma is a Japanese artistic gymnast. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, winning silver with the Japanese team and bronze in the pommel horse. He again competed at the 2024 games as part of the Japanese team which won gold in the all-around competition. He is also a two-time World champion with the Japanese team and a two-time World medalist on the pommel horse. He is the 2019 Universiade team and all-around champion.
Madaline Davidson is a New Zealand trampoline gymnast. She competed at the 2020 Olympic Games and finished tenth in the qualification, making her the second reserve for the final. She is the first female trampolinist to represent New Zealand at the Olympics.
The Royal Spanish Gymnastics Federation is the highest national gymnastics body in Spain. Its headquarters are in Madrid and its current president is Jesús Carballo. Founded by Narciso Masferrer in 1899 as the Spanish Gymnastic Federation, it is the second oldest Federation in Spain, behind the cycling one. The federation was one of the most important entities in the amateur beginnings of Football in Spain because it acted as the Spanish Football Federation until 1904.
The 2023 Junior World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was the second iteration of the Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships. They were held in Antalya, Turkey from 29 March to 2 April 2023.
