The Bangladesh Hockey Federation is the governing body of field hockey in Bangladesh. It is affiliated to IHF International Hockey Federation and AHF Asian Hockey Federation. The headquarters of the federation are in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh national football team is the national recognised football team of Bangladesh and is controlled by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). It is a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) since 1973 and of FIFA since 1976, even though the Bangladesh Football Federation was first founded in 1972. Bangladesh was elected as a member of the AFC Executive Committee in 1982–1986 and 1998–2002. The current Executive Committee was elected democratically, under an AFC approved constitution and direct supervision of FIFA & AFC, in October 2020.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board formerly known as Bangladesh Cricket Control Board, is the governing body of cricket in Bangladesh. It became an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1977 and a full member on 26 June 2000. BCB has three teams which represent Bangladesh in international cricket, which are Bangladesh men's national cricket team, Bangladesh women's national cricket team and Bangladesh under-19 cricket team.
Bangladesh national kabaddi team won the bronze medal at the 2006 Asian Games. In 1980, Bangladesh became the runners-up in the first Asian Kabaddi Championship and India emerged as the champion. Bangladesh became runners-up again in the next Asian Kabaddi Championship held in 1988 at Jaipur, India. Kabaddi is the national sport of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation's (BKF) president Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun and General secretary Habibur Rahman is maintaining the National kabaddi team.
Kazi Md. Salahuddin is a Bangladeshi former football player currently serving as the president of South Asian Football Federation and Bangladesh Football Federation. He was a member of the Shadhin Bangla Football Team, which played across India to raise awareness about the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. He played for and captained the Bangladesh national team, retiring in 1983. Salahuddin is the first football player from the country to play abroad in the professional league in Hong Kong and is considered to be Bangladesh's first professional sports athlete.
Cricket is the most popular dry season sport in Bangladesh. It is played nationwide through the months of November to May. Governance of the sport is the responsibility of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), which was established in 1972.
Feni Soccer Club commonly referred to as Feni SC, was a Bangladeshi football club based in Feni. The club exited the professional football league, after suffering relegation from the Bangladesh Championship League, the second-tier, in 2018–19. With the further formation of NoFeL SC in the same district, the club was dissolved in 2019. The 5,000 capacity Shahid Salam Stadium was their home ground.
Abdul Baten Mojumdar Komol is a retired Bangladeshi professional footballer who currently works as the assistant head coach of Sheikh Russel KC. He represented the Bangladesh national team between 2008 and 2015.

Abdus Sadeque is a former Pakistani and Bangladeshi field hockey player. Due to pronunciation, transcription and transliteration issues, spellings of his name are recorded as Abdus Sadiq or Abdul Sadiq in Pakistani sports books, old newspapers and on the website of Pakistan Hockey Federation. Spellings of his second name Sadeque are sometimes written as Sadek by Bangladeshi newspapers. He has represented the national hockey teams of both Pakistan and Bangladesh. He also played domestic football in the 70s. After his retirement as player, he became Bangladeshi field hockey organizer, trainer and administrator.
Hasanuzzaman Khan Bablu is a retired Bangladeshi football player and coach. At the club level, Bablu is most well known for representing Gopibagh-based Brothers Union. In Dhaka football, he has scored 75 goals including a hattrick. Bablu also represented the Bangladesh national team in the 1980 AFC Asian Cup and played for his country between 1975 and 1982. After retiring, he managed the national team as an interim in 2000, 2003 and 2006.

The 2011 Bangladesh Super Cup also known as the Grameenphone Bangladesh Super Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the second edition of the Bangladesh Super Cup. The tournament was organized by the Bangladesh Football Federation and all games were held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. The winners of the tournament received a prize money of Tk 1cr.
